Back in the 1890s Cleveland was a boom town. Oil. Standard Oil. John D. Rockefeller.........Some of these houses date back to then. The good ones have sandstone foundations and lots of solid wood........During the 1920s people began to move out into the inner ring suburbs. Black folk from down south migrated up here and moved into the old Cleveland neighborhoods. About four or five generations have lived in these houses.
Man I’m from Cleveland you dint go through 30 th you didn’t go pass 131 lol and where’s the people at on the block seems like you was scared lol cute video thanks I haven’t seen my city for a while thanks for the tour
No worries, the shooting and killing continue. Just today, the 12, a security guard shot and killed a guy arguing with a woman at a gas station not even a few years old at East 131 and Harvard
I remember when I delivered Oxygen for Patients and sometimes I would be on call and have to go to places like E43 Quincy ave area at 1:00AM on a warm Friday night and for a White guy like me it was pretty scary because back then their were Black folk in that area that never even seen a White Man ! At least that area hell Cops would not go down there at night without a platoon.
ilive in east cleveland i use to live in eucld and cleveland its not where you live its how you live i am blessed to be middle class in the getto ilive like a king stacking racks every mouth and year i been in ohio 63years GOD IS GOOD tp me in eastcleveland
You can always tell how danerous a hood is by how many fences and bars are over the windows and there were practically ZERO. Compare that to a place like Oakland. And i don't wanna hear racist people talking about its a black/white problem either cause only 14% of people in Oakland area "black" now. 🤷♂
as a local only 20 minutes from down town, if your out in east cleveland at night, your pretty much guaranteed to get robbed, shot, or kidnapped unless your in a vehicle and you dont EVER stop at the stop signs.
Damn this video brought me back down memory lane I live on 112th and Buckeye as a kid my day lived on Kinsman I remember riding the RTA from 105 to 93rd and Kinsman going to skateland now that I look back on it shit what was I thinking. Oh and then I lived on St. Clair and hung out with cats from 131st and Union like really why was I in the streets good memories though.

My hoods in Cleveland. The South East side. When you were on Colfax you were less than a block and a half from where I grew up.
colfax was the spot 😎
Growing up Cleveland had all the stores, now it’s just a shell of what it used to be.

These aren't neighborhoods...They're habitats!
Aka....the danger zone!! Fuck that.
clearly the neighborhoods are a mess but nobody's even on the streets. not exactly an exhibition of crime
A lot of the crime happens in the abandoned buildings honestly
They maybe too scared to walk outside.
I've seen people. 4 people in the whole video
So I guess you didn't see all the cars passing by and parked on the street. Clearly it's people there lol
Needs a bit of narrative to orient viewer.
Pffffft - Pretty tame area...
