MY CHILDHOOD! i was playing this as a kid without knowing the title i asked my father what the title of this game and alas i finally find this again. makes me cry
I agree! And if you put some glasses on Little Mac and give him some suspenders, he could be Urkel! LOL! I always loved this game! My favorite thing to do was to get a star in my corner so i could use the uppercut! The only thing i hated was that they only allowed you a maximum of 3. The further you go, the harder this game got! What really helped me was always reading the NES tips and tricks book for certain games and this was one of 'em! I was happy as hell the day i finally beat Mike Tyson!
I know. That takes hand/eye coordination and you gotta be REAL QUICK! That was my thing too. Once i figured it out, it was a wrap. I used to always hate when you went the full three rounds and the ref gave it to the other fighter despite you putting your heart and soul into it! Of course, for certain fighters, the bout was always awarded to you!
reginald vel johnson (carl winslow) looked a lot like doc louis (especially during the first and second season of family matters). i know i said it before when this video was first uploaded but its the truth. had they made a punch out movie back in the days like when punch out came out on the nes, reginald vel johnson would've been a great choice for doc louis.
this brings back memories i actually beat tyson in the 1st round before. i always had trouble with macho man when he did the spinning punch and flaminco the 2nd time around. i hated bald bull too he was either so easy to beat or you would miss time him and geyt pissed off
hahah! actually there was an episode of family matters where carl was in urkel's corner like doc louis to little mac. i guess that's the closest we'll see reginald vel johnson to playing doc louis
I love how the clock sometimes goes ridiculously fast and cheats you out of some time. Not sure how I didn't notice it as a kid, but sure enough, it did that when I played it again recently (original cartridge and real NES).
Super favorite, one of the most memorable games of all time and one of the first I acquired when I started collecting. While Super Punch-Out is a great sequel and offers smoother graphics this original completely overshadows it's predecessor and retains much more collective value till this day. Watch out for Bald Bull and Tyson.
Just the music alone...and Mario making an appearance as a ref LOL...cant even compare it to the WII version...I never did beat Mike Tyson.....I remember once I finally figured out how to beat King Hippo and my Mom caught me and made me shut off the Nintendo because I was punished and wasn't supposed to be playing with it
better than most boxing games
Did anybody eva beat this game??
i always got scared of the Soda Pop dude rofl. he still freaks me out...
I only watched this to see the end and there is no ending. 😢

Hahaha, a 1987 game, is better then most boxing games of todays generation. At least, way more fun..
how true
Ah, I love this game! I still own it on my NES. I can never seem to get past soda popinski though :/
I never did beat Tyson. Got through everyone else.
Mario sure doesn't waste time counting fast when you get knocked out LOL!!!
LOL, one of the most memorable games in my childhood
His coach knew what he was doing...dressing him in a pink jumpsuit in the middle of the Bronx...of course lil Mac had no choice but to run!
The most I remember about this game is I couldn't get my damned Nintendo to make it work xD
How fast XD
Jv Wafu, that’s what she said.
loved this game got it for 2$ great buy of the original classic. watching this just makes me want to play it again.
ahahaha MARIO
The best boxing game of all time.
This was great game for nes and wii but my Favorite part for the wii is Mr. Sandman is the final boss.

Damn dude, completely pwning Don Flamenco.
Too bad we didn't get to see you go up against Super Macho Man or Tyson.
This game was hard as f*ck growing up, and im 28
Short white guy beats stereotypes of every other county/race...sounds like a 80s game..
malkirion Do you always use logic in life?
Shay Grey As opposed to?...
Not looking into simple entertainment so much?
Shay Grey Oh, don't mistake me for a SJW, I was mostly joking around.
Oh. Alrighty. Carry on then =)
This brings back memories.
That is a game I am struggling on right now.
Title screen Mike Tyson looks kinda scary.

I remember how many times it took to finally beat mike Tyson....my fingers were killing me...
Why are you fighting Conan in the first match?
Little Mac had way fatter thighs and skinny calves than I remember.
Classicly awesome!

Remember when these games used to cost like 70 bucks?
