This show should tell TV producers something. You dont have to cussing in a show or movie to enjoy it. Who knows at the people all over the world who never get tired of watching The Andy Griffith show. I think i watch them every day. And it doesnt matter how many times ive watch them they are away just as good as the first day i seen them. Some times i have been in tears thinking about them being gone. If the world could live together like they did on TV just think how much better things could be around each other today. Wow I would have love to have met them in person. I guess we can see no matter how good we are to people someone is always going to get upset with us even if its not our fault.
The show was and is a beloved show of mine from my childhood and definitely serves as "TV comfort food." The laughs never grow old. As an adult, I was always thrilled whenever I came across it on retro channels or I could find it to stream. The "small town" or really just simple values & morals, seen through relationships, of consideration for others and importance of "doing the right thing" is timeless. My mother, always the watchdog of what we watched in our younger days, never had to think twice about us watching Andy Griffith. I hope younger generations can appreciate this legendary television slice of "Americana pie" and appreciate its soft life lessons and what is some of the best comedy writing and acting in classic TV-land.
I was brought up watching The Andy Griffith Show. I still like the show.I watched the reruns. I loved watching Ron Howard growing on Mayberry and then on Happy Days. I loved Ronnie Howard in the Musical Man ,,
For a different side of Andy Griffith, you may want to watch "A Face in the Crowd." I watched it for probably the first time a few years ago. Wow, he deserved an Oscar for his performance as the lead character: A sort of no-good guitar playing singer who gets discovered & becomes a wildly popular singer and entertainer, espousing all kinds of down-home boy makes good values, but who only cares about himself and uses everyone around him. His abuses are hidden until the woman who promoted him decides that the public should know what a selfish jerk he really is and how much he actually disdains his adoring fans. Griffith, very convincingly plays this despicable person. It was sort of a shock from his character in"The Andy Griffith Show."
Back in the early '80s. Me and my best friend washed. Andy Griffith and every time we could and we loved it so much. We had our catchphrase" Barn And nip it in the bud if you know you know
I am 75 and still watch this show daily. I remember one episode when Miss Crump got mad at Andy because his sexy cousin came to town and he was paying attention to her. She got angry at him for practically nothing.
The show was never the same when Don Knotts left. I won't watch the episodes when they got the new deputy Warren. He tried, but was never going to be another Barney.
@@sylinameeks2416. I think she was a Darling, of that hillbilly family, one thing I did not like about the series. That family was too corny, I thought. Or was she that backward girl they hooked up with Gomer ?
The GREATEST ACTOR LEFT MR BERNARD P BARNEY P FIFE. THAT WAS THE GREAT ACTOR EVER. ANDY WAS JEALOUS OF MR BARNEY P FIFE WINNING 6 BEST ACTOR ON THE SHOW. / ANDY WAS MAD HE DIDN'T WIN AWARD
The writers disliked and did not understand the female characters, dehumanizing them, and revealing the writers skewed vision . I personally understood that because I was unable to obtain a credit card under my own name.
"Poor Horatio". My favorite episode and character were with Opie in the first year. He had the best lines and delivered them with true authenticity.
Still watch it all the time ❤
The Andy Griffith Show remains a timeless classic cherished for its warmth and humor, but behind the scenes, there were surprises.
I still watch this show and love it 😍

I enjoy watching it today , I was surprised to hear about the relationship between Griffith and Bavier .
Again Andy was right about the statue! Don Knotts statue is in Morgantown WV. I have been to both and they're perfect where they are!

I watched that too on AMC and was kind of surprised at watching him play such a despicable character.
He made his peace with her and she made her's with him, on her death bed.
Aunt Bee was a very good actress as she was nothing at all like Aunt Bee!

How about: "You beat everything, you know that Barney?"
We still watch it every day. The only down part of it was Helen. He would have been better off with any female he went with.

Thank The Lord for Don Knotts
I❤this show 😊
Barney was the star
I wish Andy showed up on Three’s Company it would been nice that Andy gives Jack advice
Why?
I didn't like Don's character on that show at all. I didn't think he was funny at all. They actually made him dopey and annoying.
Truly a classic The Don Knotts show is what it was. Griffith couldn't handle being over shadowed by superior talent.
That’s not true. They were great friends and Andy depended on and appreciated their chemistry that was the heartbeat of the show.
I still watch this show every dinner time
They should have gave Don more money!
The show was never the same when Don Knotts left. I won't watch the episodes when they got the new deputy Warren. He tried, but was never going to be another Barney.
I loved all the characters including Ernestine, lol ❤❤
I don't seem to remember that name from AG. Who was she?

The gentleman pictured at 15:17 looks like Jack Benny!
I thought it was Jack Benny.
Andy’s pride was a factor
Elinor was an absolute doll but she was still a child trying to play an adult.
I loved the show but Aunt Bee made no sense . She had a northern accent
Andy Griffith! Don Knotts! Ron Howard! Glenn

the darlins were a better fit, then their mayors lol BTW, WHY did you not mention The ONE person Andy HATED? smh click bate headline
I believe it was more the position of mayor than a individual person.
I bought a 24 DVD set at Sam's club about 150 episodes...screw cable t.v.
Andy wasn't wrong. As both are elected officials, the Mayor holds no power over a Sheriff. If anything, it's the other way around.
I agree has stone cold ever drink a whole beer
❤😂
Barney got on my nerves several times.
Gomer Pyle got on my nerves. I couldn't stand his awful accent and stupidity. I fast forward through the scenes he's in.
The writers disliked and did not understand the female characters, dehumanizing them, and revealing the writers skewed vision . I personally understood that because I was unable to obtain a credit card under my own name.
Francis was nothing more than a snob!!!
she had been trained in a different type of acting.
