- Welcome to a new Orlando series! Me and Dale are doing a whopping 18 nights in Orlando this time around, staying in three different hotels across both Universal Orlando and Walt Disney World!
This first video has us travelling to Orlando and checking into hotel number one, Cabana Bay! This resort is one of my favourites in Orlando, it gives me all of the holiday vibes and I think that reflects in our excitement here.
Day one sees us venture into Universal's Islands of Adventure and a brief dip into Universal Studios while also taking in the delights of our resort.

I love Cabana Bay for decor and lazy river. Spent 6 days there last March. The lazy river didn’t open till day 3 and since I mentioned that’s why I booked this hotel they upgraded me to the cute room with the sitting room and kitchenette. So cute. Way cheaper than Disney white hospital rooms. I went to the parks first 3 days, bus was easy and fast trip. Definitely going to stay there again.

Where is Sam and what have you done with him? 😂 I have been here for your vlogs since the very beginning and don’t think you have ever, ever, ever put a vlog out this quickly after a trip. I am loving the new efficient Sam but I would have happily waited months for this vlog series, your vlogs are well worth the wait. Looks like you both had an amazing time so far…can’t wait till Sunday for the next instalment!
I have a Dale doing a draft edit for me and then putting my laptop in front of me when I get back from work and glaring at me until they’re finished 😂

Another Vlog series to look forward to. Y’all are so much like my partner and I. We both love Universal and Disney. My partner’s favorite Universal hotel is Cabana Bay, so much that he got that same Cabana Bay blue t shirt Dale liked. I cannot resist going into a theme park gift store like you Sam. We both love eating and snacking our way through our entire vacation. Oh, and yes, to Cat n the Hat ride 😂
Don't encourage Dale with Cat in the Hat 😂 Love it though, the Universal hype is very much real. It grows on me more every year, I just love it

I wasn’t that sold on the Universal parks when we went last year. But watching this has made me want to go back and give them another chance
They were so busy last year that even we felt that way. Definitely better crowds and overall vibe this year
@@sammealey the day we went we managed to do everything we wanted to in both parks. I just felt like something was missing that made us want to go back again. Based on yours and Dale’s love for the parks, I’m clearly missing something and need to go back and find it

Volcano Bay stays are a slippery slope. You then stay at other resorts, but you're still thinking of Bay

You guys are just so joyously Brit and wonderful. It was so neat to see y’all on the garden path. It’s a not very well known way to city walk. Also you can catch the ferry across the street at Sapphire Falls. Seeing the volcano at night ❤. I love Universal but I love watching other people love it even more. Thanks for the grins
I didn't know you could get the ferry from Sapphire Falls, that's so good to know, thank you. You really can't beat coming back to that Volcano at night though can you? Universal has my heart and soul at this point and it's not just because Oddfellow stole it at HHN
@@sammealey you are most welcome. Today is my travel day to Universal. Orlando Informer Meetup weekend. Four to five times a year it’s an after hours all free food, free drinks (non alcoholic) low crowds soiree that is a must do. Third party tickets through Orlando Informer and worth every penny. I’ll be taking the ferry, too :)

Great travel day ! We flew 19th Sept this year for 19 days - was amazing. Was my birthday also and the cabin crew gave a an autographed weather map and a bottle of bubbly !!!

Hi there, would you mind telling how you booked the two parks, was it in a deal please. Our son George has Downs Syndrome and dreams of going to Disney Disney so we are saving hard ❤Any info greatly appreciated ❤
We got annual passes this year so it was all included in that. We usually go for the 14 day universal tickets offered to the UK otherwise as we like having the flexibility to change around our schedule when we're there. If you're only going for a day or two though it's worth seeing if 1/2 day tickets work ouch cheaper. I recommend getting at least one day with park hopper tickets if you've got any Harry Potter fans in your party though as you need that to ride the Hogwarts Express between parks
