I presume the time limit is the problem. Use Rage Mode and Musou's as much as you can because they slow the timer and let the dialogue continue (which wastes most of the time you have)
You have to have defeated Ranmaru Mori within 10 minutes, which is what spawns the rare weapon mission. Don't go too far out of your way to get the 1500 kills with Mitshuhide, just use him for all the missions and the kill count should come naturally. That should save some time.
