The Keyblade really heals in a way instead of hurt, except to the beings of Darkness of course
The Spanish translation of BBS is more clear about that.
The subtitles say "Keyblades are not supposed to be hurting people around"
Haley's performance as Vanitas in this game is so much better than in KH3
Agreed. He sounds more like a teenager in this game.
Its kind of dumb,because in the time of KH3 Haley could have just used his regular voice to replicate that of Vanitas just fine.

I mean, if you want to get *really* pedantic, it was maybe a few hundred people in a universe of billions, if not trillions of people.... but yes, going from one person to 20 or so took a lot of the shine off being a Keyblade wielder

ITS NOT A GOOD IDEA. YOU'LL GET BURNED OUT SO MUCH(unless you're like me who adores and admires Terra's action commands and more)
I really hated this battle though....I only managed to beat him using only hit for each combo and only had to dodge roll for so many time.
I fought him today and i lost like 5 times then i had to dodge roll like 2 times after attack every single time.
Ars Arcanum at level 37 takes 2 times to 100-0, or 1 mine shield, 1 Ars Arcanum, 1 Faith and some basic keyblade attacks. The end in Ventus’s heart was my issue
You should try the Vanitas remnant then.

I always hated fighting Vanitas in this game because it feels like his revenge value is only about 2 or 3 hits. I don’t think I’ve ever hit him with every hit of a multi-hit command, let alone a keyblade combo.
I kinda wanna know what would happen if you showed this to someone who's never heard of Kingdom Hearts.
i like how the battle arena is the same one used to fight Lingering Will in Final Mix and 2.5

Yeah, unfortunately BBS doesn’t have KH2’s remarkable revenge value,so both sides can abuse their opponents which completely breaks the balancing.
Good game tho.
Just Junior Bizkit mentioned that all of these fights with him were BS but this is ridiculous. He literally dodged 90% of the shotlock because he insta breaks out at random. He doesn’t even stagger.

Well I’m sad to say all of those were true. I’ve played BBS a lot and the boss fights i normally weren’t looking forward to were Vanitas’. The only way to fight him is to hit and dodge which is not very fun. I still think BBS should have went for KH1’s combat, mostly because it works.
Just Junior I’ve played the three DS games but I’ve heard some mixed stuff about 2.5 for PS4 compared to 2FM. You got any opinions? I’m planning to save up for it over the summer.

1.5 + 2.5 in the ps4 contains a buffed version of KH1, KHRe: Chain of memories, KH2 and BBS. The gameplay feels like the same from its ps2 and psp’s counterparts and the frame rate stays at 60FPS for the most part and the soundtrack is re orchestrated for KH1 and KH2. 358/2 days and Recoded are downgraded to movies however but the animation is pretty nice. I think you should get it

For those not interested on hearing any tips on how to survive Proud or Critical Mode on Ventus like it was just Beginner Mode cause they want to finish the game their way, feel free to scroll down and ignore the comment.
Just tips for defeating all bosses easily (without even regenerating) in KH Birth by Sleep:
FARM like seriously A LOT. You definitely have to have patience for this. When I first played the game, I ALWAYS run away when there's a monster appearing and I try to avoid those kind of conflicts as much as possible cause I don't wanna be dEaD. The best farming place for VENTUS (in my opinion) is the room full of boxes and ribbons and stuff on Cinderella's World. A set of monsters appear after you defeat a set of monsters in the same spot (it's heaven!). There a total of 8 sets of monsters, 2 spots in the middle and one spot for each side of the room, just check which side(2 sets of monsters for each spot.
After you finish the first three worlds, before going to Vanitas, you should definitely go back and farm in Cinderella's world until level 20 (or better yet until 40 if you have the patience cause like you can easily defeat any boss with level 40, you'll never even have to farm again!) or something, then you can easily defeat Vanitas (but you would take damage though so just buy/farm Curaga just in case)
Meld a lot of commands with the ball thingys(the crystal thingys idk) and level it up to the highest level (it depends for each spell) cause, as stated in the game, you would be able to keep that buff forever even though you didn't equip it on your deck.
For boss fights, I always start with the lock-on command (get it to max as quickly as you can) cause you already deal a lot of damage to that boss. Then I just, hit him with the keyblade, and just throw commands whenever I want to. But just to be sure, always ready your Command Styles, Fever Pitch is pretty much the best (for me) command style when it comes to bosses for Ventus. It might not be flashy or magical like diamond dust or firestorm, but hit points is what you need to focus on and combining it with your level (cause of farming) you would defeat him in arguably less than a minute.
Oh, and Payback Raid is very important, most people might think its common knowledge already but for those who are new to the game (just like me a month ago) using the Payback raid is definitely a life saver (for me at least) just find it in you deck and see how to use it. But for those who don't wanna look at it, just press the square button any time your knocked out, just like how that big fat unversed guy always hits your face with his belly and you always fly backwards. Something like that.
Mixing all of these might just get you through bosses in Proud or Critical cause it would be like all the monsters are from Beginner Mode!
These are all just my opinions so I don't know if it's the best and easiest way to play KH Birth by Sleep but this is how I survived, so I just wanted to share this.

Vanitas went from his monotone voice in BBS to full on crazy in KH3 he didn't display that much emotion in BBS and yet in KH3 he's spouting sarcastic insults pretty much all the time
Well because child sora has a different va than sora from kh1 to melody of memories sora so they have to sound different like roxas and ventus
Anyone maybe wonder if Vanitas was trying to warn or help Ventus out a bit in the beginning I mean he wasn't wrong in the end of the bbs story Terra did become a different person and a bad one at that but hey I could be wrong

There's no specific age number but kingdom hearts 1 and 2 takes place 10 years after birth by sleep and Mickey Donald and goofy look the same .
