I was getting into this franchise myself since KOF 14 because I was finding other fighting games due to my hatred for Street Fighter 5 and Smash Ultimate.
YO SAME I'm an SNK newbie but Terry was fun in Smash. (At first I didn't care for him but god playing as him was fun) So thanks to Terry, I got into fighting games even tho I used to hate them lol

It's thanks to Smash Bros Ultimate that I came to love Terry (he is my main). He's so fun to play with, I love everything about him, the engrish, the moves (who doesn't shout BUSTER WOLF when it connects?), the gameplay, the design. I'm not a fan of TRUE fighting games, but I might consider playing KoF15!

That's OK, but it would be interesting to see Wild Wolf Terry as a separate character since some of his moves are distinct from classic Terry like sweep, jumping B and D, and having close D as the two hitter instead of classic Terry's close C.. And the absence of rising tackle means power dunk has to fill that role.. And let's not forget the overhead cracks hot and power charge rekka
I'm really, really happy that they went with his classic attire. It's safe, but it's best to capitalize on all the exposure from Smash Bros...especially when Terry looked better in Smash than in his own games. This design looked like SNK sat down and said, "so Terry in Smash was pretty beloved...maybe we should do that, but better." Aaannnd that's what they did. He looks excellent.
Terry also is pretty charismatic. Handsome, good guy, being that he raised Rock, he’s at least somewhat decent with kids. Probably hits a lot of high notes for many women, with Blue Mary just being the most Prominent. As for Andy... well, Mai was pretty much raised alongside him, and wanted to take their friendship further. At some point, I want to say around the NEST saga, they pretty much confirmedly took the relationship further

It's not that surprising cause theres a few characters with new Climaxs, Kyo, Iori, Shun'ei, Chizuru and probably Mai cause she does a move that she doesn't have on the Teaser
The next Terry costume I am predicting right now is his appearance from Fatal Fury 3/Real Bout Fatal Fury, and soon after finally comes Terry's Garou costume.
Low-key disappointed that we got his classic look instead of something more along the lines of his XIV look. Certainly wouldn't complain about having alts of it or Garou.
Actually the KOF 14 1 pays homage to his oldest look of Fatal Fury 1 which also has the long sleeve jacket, this current 15 look though is the definitive Terry look from Fatal Fury 2 onwards (minua of course his Fatal Fury 3 and Garou designs)

Unless it happened in a newer KOF, as I stopped playing from 12, I didn't like 12. Also, I just did a look up on this and all I get all over online is that they were indeed brothers who were orphans and grew up in the streets before Jeff found them and took them in. Just wondering if the lore was changed in the past few years, is all. Anyway, can't wait for this one to come out because I'm coming back to it. The game looks good. 😀

Man, Terry's second voice actor has come so far. He sounds so damn hype now, I love it.
Still prefer the old one but he’s taken to the role so well it’s hard to be upset.
I think Takashi Kondo sounds more like an American than Satoshi Hashimoto did when he did the voice acting for Terry. This is why I prefer Kondo.

Low-key disappointed that we got his classic look instead of something more along the lines of his XIV look. Certainly wouldn't complain about having alts of it or Garou.

Actually the KOF 14 1 pays homage to his oldest look of Fatal Fury 1 which also has the long sleeve jacket, this current 15 look though is the definitive Terry look from Fatal Fury 2 onwards (minua of course his Fatal Fury 3 and Garou designs)

Terry and Andy are biological brothers, just not Jeff's biological kids.
Jeff adopted both Terry and Andy, but I cannot remember if they were in the child care system, or he found them on the streets and decided to take them in. Been a while.

Just I grew up with these characters (from Fatal Fury arcade games, SNK cabinets) and even the 3 animated movies, and I never heard this before.
Unless it happened in a newer KOF, as I stopped playing from 12, I didn't like 12.
Also, I just did a look up on this and all I get all over online is that they were indeed brothers who were orphans and grew up in the streets before Jeff found them and took them in.
Just wondering if the lore was changed in the past few years, is all.
Anyway, can't wait for this one to come out because I'm coming back to it. The game looks good. 😀

@@lucaswibisono1316 As far as I know, he's only had that rolled up sleeves jacket look in his very first game "Fatal Fury: King of Fighters" back in 1991. Otherwise, he's always worn his jacket sleeveless/as a vest. That is until he switched it to his brown bomber jacket in Garou: Mark of the Wolves of course!
I actually like the 14 design more. It’s got a lot of love put into it with all the references to fatal fury as a series.

For me, it feels fresh (without knowing anything related to previous Fatal Fury games), just like how I like bomber jacket Terry in Garou MOTW.
@@Neogears1312 I will give it that yeah they did put a lot of love and references into the logos and design of his XIV jacket. Wish at least those carried over into his classic sleeveless jacket! Actually, the one thing I wish that carried over were the new gloves he wore; sort of an MMA style that would give the classic look a subtle modern update!
