Françoise Hardy passed away on June 11th, leaving a great void in the hearts of the French people.
If someday you will understand the lyrics you will cry for sure ! One of the most beautiful french song
Omg, never thought someone would ask you to react to Francoise Hardy. Love her music.

un chef d'oeuvre
She was very popular in the U.K maybe that's what you heard her. To be honest I can't hear this song without a tear at the corner of my eye...
{spoken:}
at the end of the line is the sound of your voice
and the words that I can't that I never shall say
those words that people fear when they don't make them laugh
that have been too often in books, songs and movies
words I'd like to tell you and words I'd like to live
words I never shall say : I want to, I just can't
I'm so lonesome I could die and I know where you are
I'm coming, wait for me, I know you, you know me
Will you spare me some time 'cause I'll give you all mine
I'd like to come to you, but I always stay
I never come to you : I want to, I just can't
I ought to speak to you, I ought to be with you
or at least try to sleep
I'm afraid you'll be deaf, I'm afraid you'll escape
afraid I'm too forward and I never shall say
that I've fallen for you
but if you think you could love me tomorrow
don't be afraid of memories and sorrow
we'll flee the past where we can leave tomorrow
come and rescue me
if you think you could love me tomorrow
don't be afraid if the path looks narrow
between the past and the life tomorrow
come and rescue me
if you're fed up with your life
and find no way
when every day is just another yesterday
think of me, think of me
but if you think you could love me tomorrow
don't wait a day, don't waste a time you can't know
where will your life lead from here tomorrow
come and rescue me
if you think you could love me tomorrow
run, take my hand, and where you go I'll follow
I need a sign so I can let my love show
come and rescue me
if you're fed up with your life
and find no way
when every day is just another yesterday
think of me, think of me
but if you...
Amazing French artist her song tous les garcon is amazing.
Francoise...is pronounced like "Fran-Swaah"...rhymes with car. She's very alluring. Everything sounds romantic in French...they can just sing the phone directory or insurance policy details...and it sounds like lover's intrigue or heartbreak :-))
@Mathieu BUCHHOLTZ Thanks for the correction 👍
You can find translations of the lyrics to most of Francoise's songs by googling. Two of her most beautiful are "Soleil" and "La Mer, Les Etoiles et the Vent." Francoise is French.
Nice reaction! shes got so many great songs
Beautiful voice enjoy the diversity of your channel.thanku beautiful love an God bless x
Magnifique !
BEAUTIFUL song.
One of a kind, the song is about feeling unworthy to say " I love you ", and hoping that the one you love will think of you somewhere down the road and that he/she will come running to you... Sad and hopeful...
"And if one day you think you love me, come to meet me again. If you think you love me, dont wait one day, one week, 'cause you dont know where life carry you, come to mee me again. If the disgust of life come into you, if the lazyness of fife live in yourself, think about me. "
Or something like that (sorry for my english)
Inavee coop, what I love about your channel is that you are prepared to listen to ALL styles of music. Many other channels won't . You are way ahead in this.

Thank you so much, you really help me out :D
@Eli Sage Glad I could help :D
She did a version in English (Personal Message) but I prefer the one in French. You could jut search for one with subtitles. There was one on YT.
No quite the same meaning as the french version but there´s an english version here:ruclips.net/video/N9d5_ALtiTc/видео.html
Françoise Hardy (the artist) did a recording entirely in English that you can find on RUclips. It's not as good as ther French original, which contains a lot of subtleties that defy translation. At first she is listening to a boyfriend using very formal language about love and intimacy -- language she wishes she could use too, and sincerely mean in the context of their relationship -- but she finds she can't, for reasons she tries to explain, though not directly to him. Hardy wrote the spoken-word intro to Michel Berger's original song...
At the end of the phone, there is your voice
And there are the words that I will not say
All these words that scare you
Whenever they don't make you laugh first
Which turn up in too many movies, songs, and books
I would like to say them to you too
And I wish I could live them for you
I will not do it
I want to, but I can't
She tries thinking of a way she might communicate with him more clearly...
I'm so lonesome I could die and I know where you are now
I'm coming, wait for me,
We're going to get to know each other after all
Won't you set aside some time for me? I'd gladly give you all mine
I would like to come to you,
But I'll stay where I am, hating myself for it
I won't come to you
I want to, but I can't
I know I should try to talk to you
I know I should try to come to you
Or maybe I should go to sleep sleep and forget about it
Next she tries thinking of a way to explain away some of her misgivings to him...
I'm afraid you'll be deaf to me
I'm afraid you'll be a coward (in the face of my fears)
I'm afraid of being indiscreet myself, of saying too much gtoo soon
I can't tell you that, just maybe, I love you
She hangs up and the song proper begins, this time with a frankness she hasn't been able to express to the listener...
But if you believe you believe you could ever love me
Don't think your memories will bother me
Just run, run until you lose your breath
Come meet with me
If you believe that you could ever love me
And if it weighs you down
To find where all these paths may lead you
Come meet with me
And then there's the summation...
If a feeling disgust for life springs up in you
If a weariness of life takes starts to root in you
Think of me
Think of me
She goes on to offer more suggestions...
But if you believe you could ever love me
Don't imagine it as a problem
Just run and run until you lose your breath
Come meet with me
If you ever believe you could love me
Don't wait a week, nor even a day
Because you never know where life will take you
Come meet with me
And lastly she repeats the refrain...
If a feeling of disgust for life springs up in you
If a weariness of life takes starts to root in you
Think of me
Think of me

@@chucku00 Excellent... 😊
@@MoSkent1 Pardon my French... literally!
??? But your french is very good ! I just laughed when I read the response you made to Alain on the quality of G.T., while his first sentence was full of mistakes ! 😂
The dog doesn't like...
Just INFERNAL! Between the cuts every 10 seconds and the dog barking, how do you want to feel about a song like this?!? Especially since in addition to magnificent music and lyrics, (Just search for the text on Google and then translate it on Deepl, Reverso or Google Trad...) it's the first time that we heard a song in three parts: a spoken beginning, a second sung part and the last purely musical part. You couldn't make your comments at the end, even if it meant replaying excerpts afterwards?!? What a massacre... 👎
Wtf es ist man oder girl?
Shut up stoopid !!!
Hello InAVee Coop. You did it ! If I made you discover something/someone that you did not know and that ultimately you appreciate, I am delighted. 😊
