When I first played anarchy series I tought the five wins three loses thing would be super frustrating because I tought if you lost three times you didn't get anything and you just wasted your points. But after actually trying it, it's really not that unfair. From what I've gathered you only need to win twice to get back all the points you spent entering the mode and any win beyond that get you a net profit.
It's not nearly as noticeable in Turf War/Splat Zones, but when you have to push into the enemy base yeah you start to notice all the un-inkable walls.
I would LOVE for Splatoon to get its own eSports league similar to Overwatch League. Creating teams to represent cities is way more exciting and engaging than creating teams with random names, which would help boost the popularity of eSports.
I know some eSports do college and high school teams and I’d love it so much if my school did that for literally any game, especially Splatoon 3 (or 2 for that matter) I just don’t know who we’d play against unless other schools made one as well
I think the way they do Anarchy Battle series makes me enjoy ranked battles more. Atleast I will gain some points, even if I was trash in one of the five games
Ngl I thought naut's new kit would be bad too. But the point sensor is an ink efficient way to spend your downtime to point out enemies for the main weapon and your teammates, and Ink Storm combos well with the 96 damage 3 hits do. Still kinda want inkjet back though ngl

i mean, most of the X rank players are in B-Rank now (i've beaten a few of them despite not being in x rank before) so it's MUCH more difficult to win right now. splatoon 2 was like this at launch as well with S and S 100 players until X rank was a thing.

A comp team with me, you, Jay, and Arin. We'd lose, like, every match, (because I'm some random C+ Aerospray MG main who uses stick controls) but it'd be so fun.
It's going to take months for the majority of the users to play enough battles to let the matchmaking algorithm work. Until then there are going to be some wild mismatches.

I'm not good enough to completely carry a team against good opponents and the matches have often been wildly lopsided. One in particular just had me laughing because I was against a team with 3 out of 4 players being names I recognized from competitive play. They wiped the floor with my team and I just had to laugh.

I actually really like the way the series battles work, because even if you lose three games in a row right off the bat, it doesn't mean you lose rank so long as you yourself performed well. One series I had I won 2 and lost three, but was consistently top scoring on my team and getting gold/silver medals. Because of that, I still gained like 200 points to my rank
1:08 ngl the nautilus got BUTCHERED with the point sensor secondary which really sucks because that was one of my favorite weapons to use during splatoon 2 hoping the sidegrades to the nautilus will be much better as im not much of a fan of ink storm either

Well on the bright side of things arin probably left because he won his anarchy battle series, GG ARIN. You get disconnected from your winning team when you finish your anarchy battle series. Its pretty sad that they don't let you keep being on a roll with your great team. Same with when the modes change every 2 hours I often find myself upset that I just lost my good team I had in the anarchy battle series.
Fun fact: As long as you perform well in anarchy series' (well enough to recieve medals) you will be banking more points than you spend up until about a-s rank. The only times you need to actually win are when trying to progress to the next letter rank. Note: this is coming from someone who is currently sitting in b-rank, this is just something I've noticed...

Points are calculated based on medals earned (1p for silver and 5p for gold), your rank, and your win-loss ratio. Of course, the more games you win, the more points you get. But you should try to go for some of the medals.
Game seems like a fantastic refinement, the one thing I wish they did though was change the sky boxes in the Salmon run maps. I'm honestly sick of the bleak twilight look of all those maps. Was hoping for more visual variety there.
i used the naut a TON in splatoon 2 cause of your videos and i was so sad when the kit changed. then i saw the ballpoint splatling and betrayed every other naut main....... (i still use it but my ballpoint one is now... 4 star fresh)

Jaymoji is just in the unfortunate place of any multiplayer competitive game of liking the weapon the devs keep nerfing even though it's undeserved. It doesn't help in splatoons case that splatlings are always a bit under-par just because the majority of weapon classes are instant fire. It also doesn't help that splatlings are higher ink consumption than chargers despite sharing many downsides. The Nautilus itself is pretty good among splatlings but let's be honest it's the second most mobile option from a class that doesn't spec into mobility. It's basically a heavy splatling with the capacity to move like a mini splatling in certain circumstances. The Nautilus almost seems more designed for a duck and weave playstyle for ambushes like the name of a submarine would sugget rather than aggression. The only benefit over the heavy splatling I can think of is you can start your roll out from farther distance and retreat or advance mid charge. So it plays like a mini splatling that has better dps and duration in exchange for more circumstantial and much set up. Good things bout splatlings though is they are pretty good area denial though just heavily out class in many ways esspecially in regards to speed both firing and in most cases moving. Harsh truth of being a low tier hero feels bad

I think the problem with Mako Mart is that almost every wall can’t be inked, so you don’t have any way to get higher ground, which gets super annoying
And it's still build like a splatoon 2 map where every higher ground area almost always benefits the attacking team as opposed to the defending team.

There's always the open anarchy battles that only change your rank by, like, 2 points out of 800, so they basically don't matter at all
