Nice work! Considering you were using a 2-inch dredge that first small creek appears high grade. Would be worth exploring the surrounding floodplain for a commercial land based / floating operation.
From other videos I've seen of people collecting gold from NZ rivers, it's really important to suck out those cracks in the bedrock as much as you can, that's were most the gold collects.
The foot valve that came with the dredge is shit and let gravels through to the pump on the first day using so I had to adjust this to suit and it was fine afterwards. So lucky to be in a position to use one legally on a river😊
The box is as flat as I can get it and as far foward as the motor and flare allows me to...the size of the standard holes in the mesh (you don't see it on in the vids) means that gold bigger than the holes only has the bottom half of dredge to try hold it...these bits I kept an eye on and never moved so I'm happy enough with how it went...the gold I showed in the vid was not all I got from the trip. I appreciate your comment as I'm a rookie dredger. Cheers
Awesome clean up looking forward to seeing more videos

Thanks, wish every weekend away was this good
Thanks , that was interesting.
Just wondering how the pump impeller was handling the abrasive gravel?

Hello! Please , you can to tell me - how calling this dredge? I want to buy one like this but I don't know were I can to find. Thank you very much
Hi, this is called a Keene 2" backpack dredge.
Getting one is the easy part...having somewhere to legally run it is the harder part
The Gold is to far back in your riffles, you’ll be loosing gold, take your time and set your box up so all the gold catches up the front riffles
