I’m starting to learn Chopin op 10 no1 The Minute Waltz and came across your lovely 10 year old tutorial. So glad I found your channel. A 71 year old intermediate player. Wish you were my teacher! Love the Bosendorfer. Wish that was mine😂

Hello John, thank you for your kind words about the videos, tutorials, and the Bösendorfer! 🎹 Yes, this Bösendorfer is an amazing piano and I am very lucky to have it. Congratulations on playing the difficult Chopin Etude Op. 10, No. 1 and also the MInute Waltz. I'm glad you found this 10-year old video and are enjoying it! Very best wishes to you and your journey with the piano. 🎵

This the only one of the four ballades which seem to express positive feelings, happiness and not drama For sure Chopin will always be Chopin, and some shadows can appear here and there but the mood id throughout positive. Excellent, perfect rendering!!!!! 🖤🤎💜💙💚💛🧡❤ 💞💕

I would ask you to make a video on the first ballade as that's such a favorite of mine, and I would appreciate and love to hear you play and talk about such a beautiful piece. But if that's too much to ask I understand. I still cherish this video a bunch, a very valuable, beautiful and wonderful video indeed!

      Dear Sally (@@SallyChristianMusic ),
What led me to your channel for the first time were the presentations of Iberia of Albéniz. I am passionate about Spanish music, and in my opinion some pieces by Iberia and Los Majos Enamorados of Granados are among the most beautiful pieces of piano literature. His Lavapiés performance is perfect, with a beautiful choreography of the hands that constantly cross each other in addition to perfect shaping, which seems to me to be very difficult in this piece.
That's when I found out about his other works and was able to admire the chats from Chopin's Etude Op.10 n.3. Initially I thought it was a Schenkerian analysis, but no: what I saw was a beautiful work of harmonic analysis and organization of the piece in a kind of “mind map”, which I agree is a very useful work.
Without a doubt, a job executed with so much care is a “labor of love”; music brings us happiness like this!
Once again congratulations on the work.
Is there in your plans the idea of revisiting the Albéniz Iberia as you have been doing with the other pieces? I believe it would be a work to go down in history.

@@homeroguimaraes5224 Dear Homero, what a beautiful and comprehensive message you have written, ... thank you! 🎉 I very much appreciate your acknowledging words about the charts and the Color Structural Analysis "maps" of the pieces I make. Each one takes a great deal of thought and time to make. To hear that they bring deeper understanding and happiness to the viewer is music to my ears! 🙏 I do have plans to revisit some of the pieces in the Iberia, and expect to make the charts, CSAs, and lessons in the near future. Your words "I believe it would be a work to go down in history" shine and encourage me like a beckoning star. 🌟 With best wishes and blessings to you this Christmas Day!

    Sally,
This is one fantastic. I've been intimidated by this piece for a long, long time. Certainly, it is a difficult, but with your charts I think it is humanly graspable. Your addenda are golden in simplifying the excruciating measures. I kept saying to myself, "Look at what she connected, and the tricks she uses". I will have to listen to this tutorial multiple times. I will be going to my artist-friends and getting a canvas to make a panoramic view. Fantastic idea! Thank you for dedicating hours and hours in putting this together for us. I am exhausted. How'd you do it?
Oh yes, I think your Bösendorfer did a splendid job, too.

What an awesome idea you have to make your own "Panoramic" View! BTW: The version I showed in the lesson was made using the regular 8 1/2 X 11 size sheets printed from my home printer. I think I will follow your lead and find a custom canvas to make another Pano View using the larger 11 X 17 size sheets! 🎉 Thanks also for your praise for the magnificent Bösendorfer! 🎹 💕 I wish you a happy holidays and a great New Year 2023 filled with joyful piano practicing and learning Ballade No. 3! 🎵
