I dare to say that i've watched like nearly all Muse videos on youtube (at least i feel like i have) but only now it seems like i've found the shining treasure buried deep down in the Muse history. This is just amazing.

I love how part way through they are like on a medium shot of Matt, then a hand comes in the way of the shot, then the camera quickly cuts away. then it cuts back and the hand pops into frame again and then it cuts away again very fast. I've edited live concerts and that shit really sucks
When you edited concert clips, did you do it live?
I've never been fortunate enough to edit like live LIVE. Every time it's been record on 2-3 camera's for the full show then line the clips up in FInal Cut or Premiere and then enter the "Live edit" mode. Where as it plays in real time you can hit 1 2 or 3 and switch between camera's. Depending on the project i'll just give one pass through and say "Done", but for some I give it one pass then fine edit all the cuts (in case i had to cut because a hand came into shot).
***** So from my understanding you were not cutting as the show went on, but after the show had ended

@fissnoc Idk I'm torn between the two. Muse's live performances are exponentially great as if the studio version of a song is a whole different thing when comparing the two.

@DeadStar2ooo -> regarding your question about the kind of effects:
most of his solo effects is pitch shifting and since Matt used the Digitech Whammy in the old days (still nowadays), I can only assume that most of the solo is "created" by his Whammy set up to one octave up (i think).
The second solo part is one octave above part one, which means he might have used a second Whammy set up to TWO octaves (or he used one Whammy and changed the setting with a special Whammy-MIDI-Pedal.

and last but not least you can hear a slightly pixelized sound added to the almost clean (or barely audible distorted) sound. This might be an effects processor called "Pixelator"...it's basically an effect that changes the your sound "Bits" (for example your original 32-bit-sound is turned down to 8-bits), which makes the pitch shifting whammy effect sound more like "Supermario", especially when set up to two octaves up :)
so, that's all I can say!

@alebohemio I have never understood this claim. It's like saying every metal band are Slayer wannabes, or that every folk artist is a bob dylan wannabe. It just makes no sense. And the only real connection between Radiohead and Muse is that they are both rock music, and both use falsetto vocals often. But Matt Bellamy has actually said when Muse started, they tried to sing in lower octaves, but it was more comfortable for him to sing in the range he does. Just saying.
