... She stepped onto the stage with a combination of talent, beauty and persona that had never been seen before and the world stood in awe ...
Right next to Adam Lambert having somehow gotten second place, there has never been a greater injustice with Jackie not winning this thing. But just like Adam Lambert, winning second didn't stifle them from becoming the superstars that they are and that they deserve to be. I can't even begin to express my level of happiness that she has continued to grow and evolve into this absolutely stunning performer. There's never been a musical artist who has brought me to tears more so than Jackie Evancho. In fact she has been the one and only musical artists to bring me to tears. I wish there were better words to describe Jackie Evancho, because even the best of them seem to fall short of reaching the level that she so richly deserves. Astonishing, superb, incredible, stunning, amazing, gorgeous, spectacular, brilliant and heavenly........they all fall short of hitting the mark.
For as long as people are on this earth they will be astonished and uplifted by Jackie's angelic voice. And in outer space, too!

Her voice, her appearance and her body language with two arms are out of this world. Above all Jackie at 10-year-old has an aura of devine graceful being and not secular like other singers in popular culture.
We will never ever witness anything this again. Just incredible talent.

I think its so great at the end when her voice cracks a little & if you listen, you can hear her giggle! I hope she doesn't get jaded by the tough world of a performer! I still re-visit her time on AGT again & again & still get that sense of AWE at what she does so effortlessly. I sincerely hope she has a long & successful career! I'll be watching & listening.

I remember the first time I saw this three years ago; I was astounded. Now, three years later, she's an even BETTER singer! That proves that you CAN improve on perfection. Jackie is truly a phenomenon.

I used to had some interest in opera but this girl has taken that interest to a higher level. I would love to see her in concert someday. She makes me cry every time. And she is so sweet.
She was then and she is now the greatest female singer in the world today. It is hard to believe that she is better now than in 2010. The quality of her voice is off the charts. It is no wonder that she is now a world wide star. What I want to know is when the Grammies will give her her due!!!!!!
I stopped watching the Grammies when they did not have the decency to give the Beatles or Rolling Stones top awards for best song of the year. Then again, a lot of great actors and actresses never received the Oscars that they deserved either (Richard Burton and Peter O'Toole to name just two).
Don't count on her receiving any credit from the Grammy organization. She doesn't in any way fit the mold they want in their performers. It is no longer about talent with them; it is about their "politically correct" agenda, now. It wouldn't decrease her talent one bit and wouldn't bother me for one second if she never won a Grammy.

She sang Amazing Grace on her first CD at age nine. That CD was taken off the market around the time of the performance on this video and now is quite the collectors item with original signed copies selling for as much as $6,000.00 . I've done a lot of communications with people. You did a great job with your English and ability to communicate. Not many can do it.
First she makes you cry, then she makes you sigh, then she makes you smile. To watch and listen to Jackie is to rejoice with her and share her love of music.

Everyone talks about Jackie being a Angel and I believe they are 100% right. Here is my proof, I'm a disable Vet. and have been living with pain for 41years. The VA gives me Meds. ( a lot of Meds. ) but after all this time they don't help all that much. I'm watching AGT one night and along comes this 10yo little girl who looked like an Angel and she opened her mouth and out came this Beautiful sound, and for 3 or 4 minutes I almost forgot I was in pain. I listened to every one of her performances and each time, as she was singing most of my pain was almost gone. After that day I would buy every bit of music that she put out and find every Performance that was out on youtube and to this day whenever I hear her my pain is less. So to sum it up, she looks like an Angel, she sings like an Angel, she's as sweet as an Angel, and she helps take away pain. To me she is an ANGEL and that's why I will Always Love this Young Lady because she Is my Angel. Thank you Jackie Evancho. PS - I am putting this on every Jackie video that I can find so maybe it will get to her somehow so she will know how much I Thank Her.

This is a 10 1/2 year old young lady that just sang a song better than any other singer could do in the world. It takes a huge amount of talent to do what you just heard. Her vocal range is 31/2 octaves that she can do maintaining her primary voicing and clarity. No other singer can do this. At 14.2 yrs. she is experiencing challenging formative years where there will be changes in her voice and physical stature. Nature continues to be extremely kind to Jackie. She has a new CD called "Awakening" coming out in mid September 2014 with an international promotional tour. I suspect a PBS TV Special will be tied in to this with a following DVD. The DVD will be available 6-1-15 at Amazon. Support her by purchasing her products and attending her concerts.
No her vocal range is 3 1/2 octaves.

Actually the world record is 10. Some guy name Tim or Tom something or other.
10 octaves would be something only a dog could appreciate. The vocal range isn't as important as is what type of sound is produced while singing through the range. Can anyone do it better than Jackie?
Not that I am aware of. You just mentioned Jackie would be superhuman with a 6 octave range. The record is 10. Julie Andrews spanned 5 octaves but none could match that beautiful sound Jackie produces.

I am 15 and I always listen to music but this is the first time I ever got goose bumps. I have never really understood what the people meant when they said that they got goose bumps but now I get it.

Even as good as Jackie was back then, there was still no guarantee that she would make it as far as she has. So many things that can develop as she matures that could of ended up being an issue. Everything from her voice to her social life, friends and family and so on. I can't tell you how happy I am that Sharon's prediction turned out to be spot on. Her big fans such as myself have gotten the privilege to witness her evolution over the years. Going from an adorable little girl with the voice of an angel to an extremely beautiful young woman with the voice of an angel (albeit more seasoned voice)

In this, her second performance on AGT, "The Princess of Songbirds" cut loose with her powerhouse pipes in a most memorable rendition of a classic. Responding to questions from scoffers and critics of lip sinking and lack of depth and range, she literally "brought down the house" as attendees returned a collective roar of appreciation with applause beginning well before and lasting well after she had finished. Piers Morgan summed up the judges responses, in what would prove to be prophetic, when he definitively declared, "we have got in you a superstar"!!!

Sarah actually invented Classical Crossover with her breakthrough album Time To Say Goodbye. Jackie has sung at least two songs from that album; Nella Fantasia and of course the King of all Arias, Nessun Dorma. Jackie matched her with NF but far surpassed Sarah with her stunning performance of Nessun Dorma at Britain's Got Talent two years ago, IMHO the greatest performance of ND ever by a female and better than most males.
As for technique her chin wobble is almost gone & her lungs r stronger.
That's a LOT of pressure for a little girl to deal with and she was a bit shaky, but what an amazing accomplishment just to get THROUGH the song. Still a beautiful voice-my favorite is Pie Jesu-it was like an angel singing. The adults are sure putting the pressure on by over complimenting in ways that aren't really healthy emotionally, "Superstar"? The whole fame is everything outlook has been hard for adults to deal with, much less a child, but she sure seemed to handle it very well. That speaks to her family and upbringing.......btw these judges really aren't qualified to judge this, none of them know anything about classical singing etc.......
+Ar7wen She had a small problem on the very last note, understandable at that young of an age, but prior to that she was brilliant. Nobody noticed there because long before the audience was already giving her a standing ovation.

Response to 19LaUrY86 - there have been many comments on various youtube videos of the breaking note and most think it's adorable. I think it was professional of her to immediately cut off the note when she heard herself. And you can hear her laugh as the audience is clapping. Pie Jesu on AGT and her PBS DVD are simply beyond belief.
This is unbelievable, she wowed me...she is just awesome!
It's also the way we were raised.. If when we are 10 or 12 already and we still not understand what the music is talking about then we were brought up weirdly until weird things get stuck in out minds... That's what I think... So we pratically get used to it so quickly we don't even mind about it until we don't care anymore...

She's not too young for opera, she just prefers to sing classical crossover. She sang Nessum Dorma, and other arias and did a good job. She has lung power already that seems to come from somewhere else, that's why people have accused her of lip syncing. Some people don't need to be trained to sing opera, because they are genius's and they just know how to do it right, Jackie is one of those people.
Unfortunately, This is about the youngest audiences she has experienced in her career to date (11/30/12). She has explained that she appreciates that her fans appreciate what she does and how they listen closely to what she does. Youth do not listen closely to music. They listen to the boom boom cheating themselves from experiencing the rewards quality music provides. Youth, quit hurting yourself !

Jackie, at a young age can't do Las Vegas shows, so they have to wave that title to M. G, Government here in America, they have to be in school. So she can do recording, concert, special quest appearance's to perform. As we all know now, she earned more than that Million price. Oh, she'll get it when she gets to be of legal age. Right now, law requires that money that belongs to or earned by a minor must be put in a trust fund (estate) with her legal guardians as the conservator. The conservators are usually required to be monitored by the courts so that the funds are wisely and conservatively invested and kept safe so that it'll be there when she gets old enough, usually 18 years old.

Well its ok to be negative, and voice your opinion, but I think people are jealous of Jackie's natural and effortless talent at such a young age. I'm not an opera singer or an expert, but I do like Tarja Turunen, and Sarah Brightman who are in roughly the same genre as Jackie, and I can see Jackie can sing something like Nessun Dorma and sing it beautifully. People might bicker about her technique and say she's fake, but the sound coming from her is undeniably beautiful and what else matters?
