You watch the video of one that nearly tipped over? It was one that had a long arm and spins around and it was losing balance and the whole base was rocking and nearly tipping. Everyone panicked but someone from the crowd stood on the base and then others ran in to stand and hold the base down. Thankfully they succeeded to hold it down. The ride had so much momentum and movement. I don’t think you can stop them in an emergency very quickly. People have died and been injured at my local fair. One ride broke another child was flung from one of those swing merry go rounds and died. It’s not worth the risk to me - and I don’t feel excitement from adrenaline or being afraid, I prefer to do more peaceful things and have fun in other ways.

You watch the video of one that nearly tipped over? It was one that had a long arm and spins around and it was losing balance and the whole base was rocking and nearly tipping. Everyone panicked but someone from the crowd stood on the base and then others ran in to stand and hold the base down. Thankfully they succeeded to hold it down. The ride had so much momentum and movement. I don’t think you can stop them in an emergency very quickly. People have died and been injured at my local fair. One ride broke another child was flung from one of those swing merry go rounds and died. It’s not worth the risk to me - and I don’t feel excitement from adrenaline or being afraid, I prefer to do more peaceful things and have fun in other ways.
@@hadassah6085 yeah I saw that!! So scary! You would think there would be a stop button! I love theme parks and rides but fairground ones just make me feel uneasy. It only take them to forget one bolt or screw or get distracted for a split second. Just like furniture, the more it's moved and took apart and put back together, the weaker it gets. It's fascinating how quick a fair is put up and packed up again, but that's what's scary lol

I’m not sure what the safety standards are like for the people that put them together each time or the maintenance checks either. Theme parks still have problems with rides and deaths, but there seems to be more accountability and professionals maintaining them.
