A beautiful film about a beautiful craft. I'm glad Mr. Neal has found apprentices to carry on the tradition.

Really nicely filmed. While apprentices are certainly great to have....we can have the knowledge of these craftsman survive...by permanently recording the processes of the craftsman rather than by teaching people. Processes can be learned via many forms. Someone could film all of Mr. Lawrence’s steps and processes for making a chair....problem solved.

Sublime... Contrary to the popular belief, increased automation and AI in manufacturing will only serve to emphasize the value of 'hand crafted'. It is the very 'human' imprecision that carries more wonder than an automated and precise product can ever come close to matching.
    Beautifully shot and... Sublime?

lawrence aught to start teaching his skills. Charge enough money to continue making his living. Its so do able in thismday and age...as hand crafting is now rare..where is back in thenday...thats all there was! He could do it i believe. More money in teaching now days than there is in making.
