    I did not like Fiido D11 at first too... though it's my favorite bike now. :)
    Basically, you are paying premium for design and build quality. Way better built than the cheap rattling D4s. And everyone picks D11 design over Z20 and especially D4s.
    It's possible to increase D11 speed up to 30km/h simply by hacking the limit.. and I'm planning to put more powerful controller next season too. It's very easy to connect additional batteries with the battery cable too. I've got one of the first review units with the flaw in the seat tube, received a replacement seat and have two batteries now. :)

      It is not possible to unlock Fiido D11 to 30km/h on fully electric mode. No chance, there are many discussion and topics on that. I think someone managed to get 27km/h, but that's the absolute max. for this ebike.

  • @HealthyLiv1ng

    I wonder how this bike compares to Fiido D21?
    If all the issues mentioned in this video were fixed in Fiido D21 or if the Fiido D4s is still better as far as function over the D21 and D11?

      @@kiskis0611 depends on the tire pressure as well. In general - Fiido use the cheapest suspensions in the market, which are not very effective, especially for off-road conditions. Meanwhile, if you use only on good city roads - there is not much need for suspension system at all. Well, at least in my opinion.

    Question:
    I wonder how sturdy the battery is, cause as there is no suspension every single Bump, Rattle or whatsoever will not be absorded by anything but the seatpost, which is the battery. Do you still have it? I wonder how many pottholes it takes until my 85kg (190 lbs) start to crack the battery....

    • @NiuxTech
      @NiuxTech  2 года назад

      Hi. Actually I have sold my Fiido D11 bike, but as I was testing and riding - there was no issue with the battery itself. I am also around 85kg. It's pretty solid and sturdy from what I have observed. It should not have any impacts due to bumpy roads or what so ever.

    Great review sir, made decision making for most people easier.
    D11 looks the best and clean with the cables going into the frame.
    But for that amount of money the lack of suspension is a real downer.
    Makes the M1 look like a better buy for those willing to save their butts from bumps.
    And the more affordable D4s too is almost nearly spec to spec with the D11.

    I've been having trouble picking my first bike, my choices are Fiido D4S, D11, and Himo Z20. I'll mainly use it to go to work and also for morning light exercise rides.
    Although D11 is my top choice as of the moment, I'm still having doubts if the saddle with the battery thing will last long.
    Do you still prefer D4S if Fiido D11's price is 785 USD with free fenders? That's the cash price here in the Philippines.

    • @NiuxTech
      @NiuxTech  3 года назад +1

      Hi. Thanks for your comment and huge thanks for the SUB! ;) Well, personally I prefer Fiido D4s, in Europe it's priced at 670$. More power, better max speed, almost the same weight and size (just +1kg more), not removable battery (no need to worry, if somebody gonna steal it). Of course, 785 USD for Fiido D11 + fenders is not that bad, because in Europe at the moment it's 1000$, so totally different story...
      At the end of the day - I would still pick D4s for myself. How much D4s costs in Philippines? :)

    Thinking to buy M1 Pro but the problem is : weight, dimensions, and i think I don't need those fat tires, but suspension is very good idea. I still can't understand why they didn't realese D4s with suspension....

    • @NiuxTech
      @NiuxTech  3 года назад +1

      Hi. If you want a best option which is more lightweight and compact - pick D4s. Suspensions on M1 / M1 Pro are poor to be honest. They do just a little of job, but its very basic level. The problem is that Fiido has a focus on producing budget ebike models so they can't put better quality parts like suspension, brakes, etc.

    • @NiuxTech

    Fiido's pedal assist is the worst I've ever seen! It's not pedal assist actually, it just detects that you are pedaling (after quite some time actually because it's very slow) and it just gives full power!! no matter what assist gear/mode you 're on.. assist gears/modes only define different cut-off speeds for the motor so it stops when you reach that speed.. just awful!

    • @NiuxTech
      @NiuxTech  3 года назад

      Pedal assistance kicks in within 1-2 seconds after it detects your pedaling, so not sure if its slow and what do you compare to. And yes, 3 modes are based on speed limits (cut-off if it reaches that speed). But honestly, I dont see anything wrong about it. Usually you choose the speed you want and based on that you will get more/less assistance. Also you have gears for more/less resistance so just play with modes + gears and you can find a sweet spot. Well this applies for me personally and I guess you need different type solution for that.
      P.S. I think this only the first complain I hear regarding assistance mode on Fiido bikes ^^

    • @anstelios
      @anstelios 3 года назад

      @@NiuxTechAfter riding quite a few ebikes with "power mode" controllers (which is actually the standard for PAS) where the motor gives the torque based on what assist level you're on(and not full power on every mode with speed limit like Fiido), I can definitely feel how much worse Fiido's controllers are! And I don't believe there could be anyone who has tried both and prefers the "speed mode" function of Fiido! And pedaling detection is wayyy slower on the Fiidos, totally impossible to start uphill without using the throttle!

      @@anstelios give some specific models you are talking about with proper assistance modes, are they on the same price range as Fiido?

      @@NiuxTech Actually most of them are generic OEM type much cheaper than Fiido! A basic "power mode" controller with a generic display and PAS sensors cost about 80-100$ and it has 5 assist levels that control power output of the motor. It's really very standard and cheap stuff! I have no idea why Fiido chose to use this awful controllers, it didn't even cross my mind that they could have this kind of assist system before buying my M1 pro and you can imagine how frustrated I am right now! Now I have to change controller/screen and PAS sensors myself..!!
