I think these guys did a great cover of Randy Travis' song especially with Tim taking the lead. What I love about Home Free is how respectful they are of the original song without adding unnecessary things. No theatrics or bass drops. Just beautiful singing & harmonies with Adam adding his special touch. I thought it was cute when Tim sung about hair turning grey & he looked up at his own hair.

I just can't add to all the wonderful comments, especially relating to Randy Travis. We had the pleasure of meeting him in Nashville before he became a household word to us country fans. I have his autographed first album signed that day. Also love Home Free and have seen them twice in NC.
No Paul Overstreet wrote this as well as several others that Randy made famous. Paul had a few hits of his own in the 90 s but has penned songs for many of Country's greats. He most likely wrote this song to his wife that he's been married to for almost 40 years

The rest of the guys sound like angels. I don't understand how Adam can elicit tender emotions with vocal percussion. His percussion is so PRETTY. I've described his beat boxing as electrifying, creative and exciting, but never pretty before. They never disappoint. Right up until the day my husband died at the age of 64, I still saw the 16 year old boy I fell in love with when I looked at him, so it resonates with me. Great reaction, as usual.

I love Tim's voice and I respect their choice to stick close to Randy Travis' original but I really miss Home Free's arrangements and resulting harmonies. Unless I miss my guess this choice was based on the fact that they have been extremely busy touring--yet they still choose to put out new content for us. Love them for that❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
They had a couple little HF riffs in there. And Tim sounds a lot like Randy so great choice for the lead. He's right though, any of the guys could have taken this and done it justice. Maybe it was easiest to do the harmonies with this arrangement?
