DONT DELETE THE 335i COWL. water comes in and destroys the Dme. We have seen 9 waterlogged dmes already. What you need to do is cut the oem cowl thin, tapering out from the centre (like the m3 cowl) and replace the rubber trim back onto it. Then use BMS filters on the cabin air intakes.
U can, just need to cover it the BMS filters or something similar...also I added an L shaped rubber around the edge to prevent water from coming into the engine bay & it's working fantastic 👌 easy to work on if I need now and less weight and heat too

Maybe you need to balance the crank too? It's a common thing to do for engine builders here in germany. That should create less vibrations wich also means the bearings will work better and last longer.

The N54 stock intake manifold is definitely great to take on and off and is durable for boost, however if you run Methanol it will corrode the plastic intake manifold and you'll blow a hole in the manifold. Full on Brian O'Connor danger to manifold haha

Braums aren’t up to the quality he would want. They also can break pretty easily in the eventuality of a crash I have them in my car, so I speak from experience
@Gavin Adams wouldn’t go that far. Mine have lasted 4 years with no noticeable wear and have worked great for Autocross/track. Just saying they’re not on par with brides or recaros

Man it's rather saddening to say, but not many people at all even know about the "aviation wire tie" much less use it nowadays. Lots of old school mekaniks used it on a lot of shit from valve cover bolts, to flywheel bolts to driveshaft fasteners hell you name it. Lots of shit. Basically before loc-tite was as commonly used you kinda had to use the wire to stop shit from backing out. Hell just about every youngin' at a shop nowadays wouldn't even be able to tell you what the tool is if you hand em the pliers used to wind the wire. I know I didn't when an old man showed me the knowledge a few years ago. He rebuilt airplane motors in TX most his life from the 40's to the 60's/70's. Learned a lot from ol Joe. I wish more old school cats could or wanted to share half the know how they've learned through the years. The world would have A LOT less wheel offs and stripped oil drain plugs 😂😂 #oldschoolisstillcool #passonknowledge

Skyline vs 335i needs to happen now. You should time each of your cars around a certain track or just roll race them all to see where they all stack up

1.8ts aren't known for gunk or sludge. The 2.0TFSI that have been used in 04 onwards are known for all sorts of gunk and carbon build up because they're direct injection.

I could never comfortably stack my cars at my house like that. Not that I'm worried my cars would fall on eachother, it's that i own a shitbox e36 and i would come back the next day and the car underneath would be soaked in oil

budget way we do this is just tack the flywheel bolts with the tig
