Hi Knox I think you should react to Worldwide Choppers by Tech N9ne and Company. I feel like based on the mostly lyrically intense songs in your selections, this was one reaction which feels long due. Would be great if you could coz tech is a wizard on the mic. No one takes away from what Jay-Z did on this track. He dropped one of the best verses of his career (in my opinion), but peak Em here just outshines with the multisyllable and percussion like cadence and flows. Very little people can ride a beat like Em can.
Both did their things but Em just was on top. When two top artist come together and make songs like these, they remain on our playlists for a lifetime. Who won? Fans did. No question.

    Recommendation:
    Eminem's Stimulate.
I think it's one of his earliest tunes where he reflects on his status in culture and the effect he has on people. He kind of drops his personas and just speaks from the heart for a bit. It was originally planned to be on the Eminem Show, IIRC. Probably one of my favorite Em tracks of all time.

Absolutely bro, Revival to me was Eminem having broken into a new sphere of what you can do with the pen. Lol, it was like in the Matrix when Neo realised his influence over the matrix, like he can literally manipulate the outcome of a situation. Eminem just did that with the pen and on the mic and everyone was not ready for the new way of how rap can be approached. It might also have been his messages on some of the tracks that ticked people off.

In eminems second verse I'm pretty sure there's a double when he's says "or is he the ladder"
As in "is he the latter" of the two pictures that were painted of him first being the modern day Shakespeare, Jesus christ the king of the latter day saints, and also a scatter brain atheist, or the second image of it being a matter of taste and how people perceive his music. When two people are on a song or in a piece of music together and they both are performing it's not a competition. People need to start looking at songs and collaborations as just a wonderful piece of music if it is just that and just enjoy people coming together of different backgrounds performing a song. You would never say that Eminem and Jay-Z are the same kind of rapper so why would you try to say one is better than the other in a collaboration they do when they're both bringing different styles different techniques different upbringings and different stories through the words they speak and when we hear of so-and-so and this person whoever the two or three maybe coming together on a song we can just appreciate the fact that they got together and took the time to work with one another and make something for us to hear and experience to follow through the words they say like a movie in our own head that's unique to us because we're picturing what only we can picture through what they say although people's visual thought process might be similar no one person is thinking exactly the same as another when listening to a song.
We just need to start listening and appreciating to the individuals singing or rapping on their verse and stop trying to pick a winner out of a song that two people made together it isn't a battle so why should we treat it like one.
Jay-Z did his thing and Eminem did his thing and together they made a fucking classic end of story.

That's why I loved that SCOTUS case over protected speech vs. threats of violence posted to social media that had Chief Justice Roberts quoting Eminem and worrying about the chill on rap their decision could have while the OBAMA admin's appointed lawyers were on the opposite side!!! A couple having a nasty break up saw the man post about violent revenge he wanted on Facebook and then claimed it was just his verses used to express feeings as an aspiring rapper. Now, the facts of the situation probably did make those real fears the woman had from a relationship with previous domestic violence and no realistic efforts at rapping as part of a career. Yet it was through his Shady persona letting off steam that offered a route to contrast using art for feeling expression of emotions and real-world actions also addressed in those songs by Eminem. Roberts' concern in part was about setting up a two-tier divide where the successful and famous rappers had protected speech but not the up and comers and amateurs or just regular folks having to worry about criminalization when they used violent imagery in creating what ultimately is digital expression of content. The domestic-violence matter was serious to the woman who should get support with her experiences, but wrestling with the issues in the case made it worthy of pursuing to find that compromise on boundary lines when it comes to violent "threats" and emotional expression. Still, you just have to take in with wonder and grins an exchange in the highest court in the land between OBAMA-appointed lawyers and a CONSERVATIVE chief justice pressuring and questioning them due to concern about the implications of speech criminalization potentially hampering rap AND using Eminem lyrics as a test standard for valuable art we, the people, should protect!!!

I remember when this was released, I was so damn excited! Like Eminem and Jay Z! And then I listened to it and was extremely upset because I loved this song when Royce and Em were on it... If Em rewrote his verses Id be excited but nope Ems same verses and Jay Z must have heard this song before even putting his verse on it considering Em and Royce version was released before the Royce and Proof Beef which means Eminem killed Jay Z on his track that he wrote 5 - 10 years before Jay wrote his verse. I want another song Jay Z Ft Em before they retire

Jay z just ain't hungry like he used to be and quite honestly got lazy with rapping, I would like for him to be on another track with em but I would like for jay to be in the same mindset when he made "Brooklyn" or even the remix to "ballin".

I think it’s harsh to say Jay got washed because both of Jay’s verses were fire and about the struggle, come up and life but I think Em was just so good on this song people forget how good Jay was. Em’s cadence, flow rhyme patterns, lyricism everything was just unbelievable and I think it’s in the top 5 performances in rap history and one of the best songs ever made with 2 goats 🐐 Also I think Nas saying Em washed Jay is iconic in its self so it’s in peoples minds as soon as Renegade is mentioned 💯👑🐐 Love all your breakdowns Knox your understanding of music is unbelievable bro 💪👑🔥

Funny thing about Em's verse in this song: everybody, including Nas, obviously, says Em washed Jay in this song, right? Yet when people be talking about his best verse(s), it always seems to be forgotten. Best Friend, deservingly, is always brought up, but never this. In my mind, this is his best.
And, the reason why I do not put Nas on the same level as Jay; the best line in his whole diss was about Em washing him on his own ish...That line won the whole beef for a lot of people. But at least Jay had the cajones to get on a track with Em. Jay=Bull Nas=Steer.

I like what jay did on this track. It was a power move, he didn’t show any technical skill. Just painted a picture of his rise. His verse is really underrated and coming back 20 years later shows his progression in urban life vs his pop culture career. It’s great writing which he doesn’t do. The foreshadowing and anticipation he creates is second to none. He’s not trying to wow you with skill. He wants you to listen. It’s effortless. “You can’t date skills and wife it”
