I think they geared towards 1980s J City Pop vibes here. Since this is also their first Japanese release. It’s a great catchy little song that would work well with a live band onstage However, I would prefer the electro, garage and drum n bass influences from their previous releases, which made their sound unique from their K Pop contemporaries.

JISOO's -'Flower' (kpop) song which blew up ridiculously last year really gives me dua lipa vibes... even down to the choreo in the video.. you should give that watch :)
1:45 sounds very similar to a sample from hey dj by 'world famous supreme team' used a lot in the 90s by rnb acts (most notably in mariah careys 'honey' and swv's 'anything).. its not the same but sounds very similar... also the ad libbing parts (which i think is minji..sounds like her) sound really similar to a bruno mars song ... although i cant remember which one.. its one from his 'funk' phase though :)... I wasn't sure about this at first (as you know i much prefer their clubland songs to their rnb ones) but the more i hear this the more im falling in love with it.... to me it sounds like a more mature rnb sound to that of their first EP ... looks like they are mixing it up this EP .. apparently their next release the A-side 'How Sweet' is Miami Bass and man am i so excited to hear that one!!! more up my street!! Also I am just happy to see them together releasing new music as scheduled (not sure if you are aware this is a turbulent time for them their ceo has been very naughty and is in trouble with HYBE so newjeans careers are worryingly up in the air right now.. i just dont want them to disband.. anything but that!)
