Great interview mi bredrin. Akae Beka (Midnite) sound and approach truly is incomparable. I refer to his music as a university. His music is not entertainment, call it edutainment……truly a force inna earth ya.
What a heartical and amazing inner view! Tippy is one of my true inspirations and Vaughn is MY #1 INSPIRATION OF MY 45 YEARS ON EARTH! I MISS VAUGHN AS I MISS MY FAMILY MEMBERS! TRULY A 10/10 INNER VIEW IDREN!
I had the privilege to conducting one of Akae Beka's last interviews. I was approached to do it suddenly and was told that it was someone called Midnite who for some strange reason I had never heard of. It was a rugged interview as I discovered during it, that he was now Akae Beka and no longer part of Midnite. I had to "think quick" during it 😄😄. He was a bit put out by the error, but took it graciously whilst also rolling his eyes. What an experience. The best part was after the interview when myself and other members of my radio station gathered with him in the green room, and out came his bible that you spoke about (it was a big one) and the lessons began. Great experience.
Wow! You have a wide knowledge of UK Roots Rock Reggae & Dub Culture amazing. Jah Shaka, Aswad, Mad Professor.... I am off to go and discover your music.
Big up unnoh self mi Idren Tippy mi Igrade General, I been waiting for long for de one yuh interview bout de pass and gone Brethren Vaughn cmeh...to hear it from you seen I.give and Rastafari Guidance everytime Tippy, and long live to de legend Elderman man like Vaughn..our love is forever ❤💛💚
Love this whole interview. Extremely insightful and inspirational. There is one thing that was factually inaccurate and that was about the creation of Hip Hop 1:09:45 . kool Herc and them got their knowledge and style from American Blacks. Tariq Nasheed has a documentary called microphone check about this, and Lord Jamar Goes into this in depth. Respectfully. Love and Light!
