This is why I got out of breeding leos 20 years ago. There was one time we had a power outage and my incubators all went down, that was awful. Too many emotions.
Perforated - nailed it! Absolutely great topic I have wanted to suggest to every breeder I watch. Thanks for the knowledge 😉 Keep up the good work and enjoy vaca.
I liked it, good and informational. I have seen some pretty gnarly deformed cresties online. 100% right, egg bound cresteds aren’t like egg bound ball pythons. Your guy was so cute, great idea to adopt him out as a pet.
Great video keep them come bro thanks for the video as I am a new breeder / Owning Crested geckos and when you type things online you get mixed messages as so many different people have so many different opinions In forums So this video has been Really helpful And what is the best way of incubation Would you recommend a digital incubator Or a plastic Box type of one with Super hatch in the Bottom
So I don't actually have animals, but can tell you working with plants on a larger scale that temperatures make an ENORMORMOUS difference to how they do, I can imagine a reptile is that times a factor of 2 or 3! Keeping living creatures for a living is difficult, and sometimes plants also just have a "failure to thrive" scenario
Good video. I do not breed my Crested Geckos. My females do not/have never even laid a single egg, even though they are 5 years old and 4 years old. Guessing because they never been with a male. And I keep my male away from my females, his tank isn't near their tanks so they don't smell each other. My gargoyle lays eggs, but I got her as an adult and she always laid eggs for me but I don't put her with a male and I do still worry about egg binding. Now my mourning geckos reproduce without a male. And I hate it. I have 1 hatchling that is 100% fine, about 3 1/2 months old now. Today I seen eggs hatch. 1 baby passed during the night, guessing shortly after hatch. I saw a big yolk sac near it, and it seemed very skinny so I am guessing an issue internally even though it looked full form. The 2nd egg gave me a live baby, no yolk sac but has a deformed foot, looks like she's doing the Spock symbol. It's like her toes fused together. They just lay eggs some fertile/some not. Some make it, some don't. I can't get them to stop though since they reproduce without males.
"im not here judging people" pervious video rips into jen XD great video as always!
Im pinning this 😂
