Looks to me like the iPhone 16 is brightening images more aggressively than the 15. I’m happy with how the iPhone 15 photos turned out more so than the iPhone 16 ones, with some being the same

Keep definitely keeping my 15 they're virtually identical. You can't even tell the difference plus the colors suck on the new 16. I got this beautiful yellow and the 15 there's no way I'll give it up.

16 is a little brighter which captures more details on night shots. Iphone 15 is still a solid choice for day to day use. No need to spend $100 more if you barely take pictures with your phone.

From my experience, iPhone cameras, only show noticeable difference every four years. I did a test last year c testing the iPhone 15 camera against the iPhone 12. It was a bright sunny day in a 200 year-old downtown neighborhood. We snapped old buildings, trees, and flowers close-ups of rusty old things, etc. Later, we zoomed in and pixel peeped on my iPad Pro and it was very hard to tell the difference.

I own an iPhone 12 Pro Max.
this year in the spring/summer I intend to buy a new iPhone 15 Plus or iPhone 16 Plus. I care about good battery life and cameras because I take a lot of pictures. Do you recommend any and is it worth taking? I've looked at so many reviews and of course read so many opinions good and bad and I don't know which one to choose anymore so I won't regret the purchase....

iphone 16's camera looks like it has a higher contrast than the 15. if you like to edit photos/videos, then the 15's shots are more manageable.
