I hate to say this but... this sounds better than what is on the official album...
Gotta wonder how old most of you are. This version is fantastic, but it's more for the younger fans because they're used to this style. Justin Hayward's version is fantastic, but it's fantastic in it's own context. Stop looking at them as if they're together. Nobodies forcing you to listen to it (except for the guy a few below me who bought tickets before knowing it was being remade), so if you don't like it, go back to listening to the original, which is still fantastic.
I really like this version. Although it may not have as much emotion to it as the original, it's still a great effort! :D

to people having a problem with Gary saying "drawring": listen carefully to Justin's version-he's also saying "drawring"! Gary ruined it by staying faithful to the original, but Justin was amazing-isn't that hypocritical? Anyway, IMO, Gary has a much nicer voice and I like his version more.
I love this song it might not be as good as the original version but at least have some respect people. He is not I bad singer why dose no one have respect I know some people do. But I like BOTH versions and have some respect for Gary Barlow. He has a good vice and I LOVE it makes me think of Autumn.
I wanna point out that I'm only fifteen and I absolutely love Jeff Wayne for bringing us this masterpiece. Spielberg's version was a disaster.

i agree with Aimewower this is a new generation album in the hope a new generation of films come to like WOW, I both like the original and i also like this new one but also as Aimewower if you dont like the new one you can still to the old one nothing wrong in that. Also remember the original came out in the 70-80s? so while its not aged like some albums it still is aging....
It's okay for the younger generation. But the original will always be the best, Why on earth did they have to mess with perfection?
This version is the best (my opinion) out of the 3. 3rd one wasn't good at all but the first was a classic.
If this was a brand new never before heard song, I would quite like it.... But it's just not a patch on the original - Sorry Gary - Justin has you beat hands down on this!

Didn't hate it as much as i thought i would. It just doesn't have the impact the original has. Also sounds a bit overproduced to me
I get that it's a new generation etc...and I'm excited to see it in December...but...is it just me or does the music sound like Midi accompaniment instead of actual instruments? That's what's annoying me more.
I agree that the original is way better, but then again most of the time the first ones in music always are because you get to know it first time. Still hope this makes the musical back in the chars with new fans.
Why are you all taking the piss out of Barlow for his versions good I like it and my dads got new album and even he says there's no comparison
Gary Barlow is OK but a lot of the music sounds like a washed out cover version of an original.

I guess I'm old school, but why a remake a musical monument...... Barlow sings it beautiful, but I still love Justin's original version!
In my opinion some things should never be remade and this is one of those times. I had bought two tickets for the upcoming show last year, before I knew what was involved. They may be on E-bay by the end of the week.

love Justins version but Gary has done an excellent job and much as i love the original version i am looking forward to seeing the new version in December.
