In this interview with Mavi we went outside of our normal recording space to have what is easily one of our favorite episodes to date. We sat down with North Carolina native Rapper/Scientist/Mayor/philosopher Mavi to talk about his early influences, living in NYC, the parallels between Science + Art, the release of his brand new EP 'End Of The Earth' + much more.

Mavi has been on repeat since his emergence into the scene with his magnificent piece of art, Let The Sun Talk, and as apparent than ever, Mavi does not hold back a thought in his newer releases as well, always finding a way to find innovative pockets and sounds to express, while tying threading everything with vivid pictures painting with his lyrics with honest reflections of navigating through life. After a few minutes of sitting down and listening, you can understand where the potent lyricism comes from, as Mavi continuously pours out wisdom that is well beyond his age. More honest than ever, The End of The Earth sees Mavi at the edge of world, still holding on but looking down into the abyss in curiosity while still being uncompromising in his honesty and calling out the mechanisms of the apparatus that is white supremacy that work against black people.
It really does no justice to try and summarize his wisdom in a paragraph, so take it from his own mouth. sit back and enjoy the episode!

How old is Mavi? Wise AF
Hands down one of the wisest most down to earth young artists out there.
I know Im asking randomly but does someone know of a method to log back into an instagram account..?
I somehow lost the login password. I love any help you can offer me.
@Bradley Mathias Instablaster :)
@Braylen Reece i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now.
Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Braylen Reece It worked and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my ass!
@Bradley Mathias no problem :D
Mavi is a genius. Had a beautiful existential answer to every question.
"you cannot go into a house and occupy a house that is not yours,
because you would be doing the same to that house as others did to yours".
-
I appreciate that to the fullest degree it almost brought me to tears, thank you.
🤍
The awareness with this one is strong. Much respect.
🙏☕🎵
Mavi gives off this vibe where every little thing he brings up, you feel like you know he passionately loves what he's talking about.
“The music is the vessel to enrich the aesthetic of humanity” Even this man given a fuckin interview is art
Mavi’s mind is on another level
Been living with his music since Sun Talk came out, first time I've experienced the way he articulates himself as a human being. Unsure of which I'm impressed with more..
one of the best interviews i've ever seen 🙏🏾
love!
bro ive seen you on tiktok
good a seeing him smile bros happiness is contagious
i come back to this interview at least twice a week. i straight up love this interview
🤝 more otw very soon
We all love Mavi, but lets take a moment to recognize how fantastic the interviewer is. it really feels like you're just sitting in a room listening to a conversation.
Any plans to put the audio on podcast platforms? I think that'd be nice, personally
really appreciate the love! Unfortunately, putting the audio strictly would defeat the purpose of the show, there is a pretty consistent concept we follow that can only be shown on video. but again, thank you for the support!
How do u only have 400 subs nearly, major props for how this is conducted, the set in itself and how natural everything felt
that's love! in due time it'll grow ☕🎵
When he brought up becoming spiritual off acid I felt that lmaoo
Wow I've watched a lot of interviews but none like this one. And it's really just been so good in the equal sharing of experiences and knowledge between two people from different cultures. I really enjoyed it thank you, Oh and Mavi said that he's learning Zulu and I just wanted to say that I'm Zulu myself and my deceased uncle was a linguist and he actually introduced a few words and sayings in the language of Zulu. ❤🇿🇦
Love this
Mavi talkin about learning Zulu in class and I'm here, a Zulu fan watching, pretty cool
So amazing... so intellectual, the both of you, great job
18:55 he said " when im trying to be self evident in writing im doing it wrong"
Pineal throbbing with every response 🔥
mavi tha truth simple
Fantastic questions, hope to see more interviews

MAVI Music 🔥
beautiful interview, learned a lot bless
I appreciate coming to these channels and finding people that think through things in a similar way that I would. MAVI realizes the way his fathers thought process influenced him in so many faucets of his life. Great interview.
🙏🏽🤍
Felt this. Thank you.
I knew there was something special about Mavi
The interviewer is amazing and so is mavi
🫶🏽
Best intro track to an interview
the writing is the one percent. that margin of error. science is dope but never forget that percentile. magic
2 GOATS! 👏
Great segment about subjective and objective criticism in music. It reminded me of some critics that just love to hate on the music but don’t necessarily provide any feedback of what someone could have done differently
I wonder what mavi would say about his "a love song" from 2017 if brought up
I love it
@@mavi4mayor You should. It’s really good. I actually went and transcribed the lyrics on genius and i love the flows you used towards the end. I gotta ask tho, where’d that amazing beat come from? cuz i still don’t know

Dose the video loop or am I tripping?
bring mike on the show
I don’t really get the concept of this show with the coffee and all that and the interviewer did some faux pas with questions that made assumptions but Mavi made up for it. Mavi is the next one up
probably the smartest emcee of all time 🤍
