Tyler Todd Exactly right. In the Octagon it's dark, you've got crowds cheering and if you're watching it on TV, commentary. In effect it's like watching a movie so you don't feel a connection with it. This fight seems much more real because it's in a setting that you know and can visualize yourself being in. I’m never amazed by Nick Diaz. He has always been the hardest working guy in MMA, so I’m usually amazed by the guys that can last any significant time with him. This video is a testament to his skill and anybody that’s followed Nick’s career will tell you the same (the guy’s a work beast!). Actually they make you hit way harder. You can break knuckles in a real fight. Much more hardcore. Fuck around and break your hand. Those Little gloves and handwraps actually reinforce your wrist and allow you to punch without impunity. They are badass
