Oklahoma race fab makes a cradle that takes 100 lbs off the front. It looks like it would be pretty expensive though. Boludo fab work makes tubular lowers that work with stock cradle.
Yes sir both look like great pieces! I would love to run them but unfortunately I don’t quite have the budget. Hopefully one day. I have Oscars engine mounts and they are definitely top quality.
@@CoastalRacecraft Yeah I can't afford those either... What about swapping to a built 4l60/70? You'd save a ton of weight and have a shorter first gear so you wouldn't need to do that rear end gear swap. I run a built 4l70 from performabuilt and I'm full weight (but I have a 1ss) and am just over 600rwhp. I daily drive it and race it too
@@martinez..carlos I agree it would probably be a little faster for sure. I don't think it would hold up for the new build though and its hard to sink the $$ into it knowing more HP is coming.
@@CoastalRacecraft I take back any suggestions about going with any 60e/70e. I just ordered a built 4l80e this morning because I killed my 4th 70e. I'm done with that transmission platform.... I'm planning on turning it up soon but this put those plans back a bit. I didn't want to go 80e because of the OD ratio since I drive my TBSS often but I'm just gonna go to a 31in tall tire and more power to make up for it

Have you guys pulled out the sound deadening on the floor? You could probably pull about 25-40 lbs out by removing carpet and sound deadening
Yep actually went to a lightweight style carpet about 3 years ago that doesn’t have any sound deadening. Weighs almost nothing
@@CoastalRacecraft I kinda figured you did, just had to ask 🤘🤘 this TBSS is wicked tho!
@@hybred757appreciate the support! Got some big news on this thing dropping here next week!
@@CoastalRacecraft looking forward to it! You gonna share on 757 LSX too? please do 🙏
Is there anyway of installing plastic glass on the tbss that should save weight?
Definitely could make some direct replacement lexan but that would be farther than I want to take this one. For sure possible though
Pull it out! It's time to officially go full race! I bet those 4.56 gears and a better DA will get you those 2 tenths you're after. Good luck!
Appreciate the support!! I feel pretty good about the next trip to the track
I just gutted my tbss runing a twin set up, where brake set are you runing ?
I have a brake video on here. Budget lightweight front and 9” ford wilwood rears
What's the deal on the SeaCraft. She's clean! You plan on doing any boat vids?
Thanks man! We had it in the shop putting a T top on it. We have a 252 formula as well. May do some boat videos this summer if there is any interest!
How difficult was it to get the curtain airbags out? I need to do that mod on mine lol
It’s not too bad, just kind of time consuming. Need to pull all the interior plastic and then the headliner.
could you run with out the doors? maybe put nets in the place?
🤣 total jeep status. That would be hilarious
Anything that is under the dash that is not needed, needs to be removed. That’s my next weight reduction for me too. By the way this is Lewis
I think it’s gonna happen! It looks like a job though haha!!
Do you mind sharing what the weight actually is? Was? Lol
Last time we weighed it was sitting just under 4200. Definitely going to weigh it after all this and see where we land.
Take it all out! It would've went .60s In better weather on the .70s pass. So u really only need 1-1.5 🧐
You know it! Every little bit helps!
It's gotta go if you're trying to set records. I believe the weather will dang near be enough for you, the weight is just gonna push it lower.
That is exactly what I’m thinking too. I would love to crack a 11.4XX
Are you running a spool or the stock diff? Bunch of rotating weight there.
@@jamesonholten3886 stock diff. This is a budget build plus I’m not sure if anyone makes a spool for the 9.5” 14 bolt.
