  • Longtime Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has announced his retirement from the NFL after 18 seasons. Roethlisberger, a first round pick of the Steelers in 2004, is a two time Super Bowl champion and has been in six pro bowl appearances. He currently is ranked 7th all-time in NFL career passing yards, has the fourth-highest career winning percentage (.710) as a starter and 12th all-time in passer rating (94.3). Marcellus Wiley and Emmanuel Acho determine what Big Ben's legacy will be.

Big Ben’s career stats are all about 6-7th all-time. Ppl forget how good his career was. Fans use other QBs to put him down, but let’s not forget Ben has been to 3 Super Bowls (2 more than Rogers) & won 2. He’s made it to more AFC championships than Rogers has NFC championships (in the AFC with Brady’s Pats & Manning’s Colts.) He also has better career stats with the same # of seasons. He led the NFL in touchdowns & passed for over 4.5k yards just 1 year ago. Mostly, he really was the model for tough QBs who break tackles. I’m actually a Brady fan, but there is ZERO doubt in my mind he’d be horrible behind the OL the Steelers has had for the last few years

He got all those yards the season they weren't in contention, he's been deep I. The playoffs like once in the last 10 years. The defense and the refs carried him in first super bowl. He did his thing in the second super bowl, the 3rd one he lost to Rodgers and didn't really make a difference, after that it was a whole Lotta stat padding

      Ben
      Rookie record stands at 13-0
None of them not Rodgers, Allen, Pat, Burrow none of them have done that, only QB to throw over 500 yards 3 times, only QB to throw over 450 yards in 4 games. Most TD'S in a 2 week span with 12, 18 seasons never had a losing season. 6 time all pro, led the league in passing 2 times, 3*SB won 2. Don't matter he didn't go deep in the playoffs Rodgers gets to the championship and implodes so what's you point, when you wear the black and yellow you will be disrespected and over looked for awards and shine as you can see TJ should be looking at 3 DPOY awards but people from Pittsburgh understand those awards really don't mean nothing cause they'll try their damnedest not to give it to one of them.

They nailed it. Big Ben had winning in his DNA. Forget about his 3 Super Bowl appearances and 2 rings. Forget about 18 years without a losing season. If you REALLY want to appreciate how much of a winner Big Ben was, look at the last two years when he CLEARLY was falling apart physically, but he STILL (somehow) led the Steelers to a 21 win/12 loss record with 2 playoff berths and an AFC North crown. EVEN OLD Big Ben won more than most QB's in their prime. What a legendary career.
