What a great video guys, totally agree with everything you said. I retired at 60 a year ago, best thing I ever did. Got a house, cars and a motorhome and happy with my lot. Your comment about not feeling guilty about doing nothing is true and a hard hurdle to get over. Paul hope you get well soon.
Very interesting chat! I like your honesty , what you see is what you get from you lovely folks. I’m feeling confident that I’m on the right track with our early retirement life ( a year in ). It’s taken the year to adjust to pleasing ourselves and relaxing . I agree with your points- we aren’t bothered about material things , just spending time together and enjoying this new phase in our life. Glad to hear your health is better , Paul and Jo is your rock!! Positive vibes are felt 🥳
Great video really interesting and a lovely insight to how you made a change and choice to your lives.Very similar to you although I’m older jumping off the treadmill is wonderful,my wife and I sat down and thought we can live on a lot less money, and money can’t buy back time best decision ever made. Thanks again to you both 👏👏😊😊
Hi, sorry you’ve been ill; I missed that one. Hopefully we’ll into recovery 🙏now. Great vlog and food for thought, you are so right on that stuff. Keep well, safe travels ❤❤❤❤
Hi Paul & Jo, been watching your videos for a little while and like the other comments below love your honesty. We have had a motorhome for just one year now and done a few trips into France and Spain. We are getting the bug for travelling and want to go further afield. I smiled at Paul's comment about Jo not knowing her geography... last night my wife said I've decided where we are going this year, Slovenia, Norway and Austria. We had a mini argument about with me saying I am not going to Slovenia and then going to Norway... do you know how far that is!!! My wife says the van is for enjoying yourself, stop worrying about the mileage!! We are semi retired, 56 & 53 and we are on the same journey of trying to slow down. Anyway I've rambled on enough. Keep up the great content.
We have been having the same discussion, Paul like yourself will focus on the distance, and I like your wife focus on the journey and what we can discover on the way. Does your wife drive? Because it definitely helps to share the driving when driving do far. We hope you enjoy your travels, keep us updated on where you go.🥰 xxxx
@ hi Jo, both of us drive the van, mostly me (the wife) although I’ve had to stop for 6 months due to a sudden loss of consciousness in October. That’s being investigated (a heart problem) and so far hasn’t happened again but it’s been a massive shock not being able to drive myself anywhere! I’m definitely more like you wanting to explore further afield but my Joe needs more persuasion! We have really enjoyed seeing your travels and visited a few places you recommended - Tossa de Mar was so good we went twice 😁
Hopefully Paul starts to feel better soon. Totally agree with what you are saying, i finished working 4 years ago @60 and we now spend about half the year out of the UK just travelling, the best thing we have ever done, plan the year or just wing it either way we enjoy the trip ( 6 weeks and we are on our way back to Spain) Take care both of you and happy travels for 2025 🚐👍🏻
Totally agree with everything you said. Last year both hubby and I developed some health issues. Even though we traveled a lot with our caravan, hubby did all the set up and driving. Last month we bought a motorhome and we plan on tripping anywhere and anytime. Change in philosophy for me as I was always worried about having enough money to last. Now we have plan b. And plan c. If we have to we’ll have plan d. let’s enjoy whatever time we, because life can be short.
Great video this ! Great philosophy. More people should open up on these subjects. Candy Blue was a star and you could see her enjoying every moment and taking it all in. BTW Mindfulness is wonderful on these things. Not talking about the commercial book stuff, but what comes from within. Native Americans were classed as lazy, because they often sat around doing nothing. What we didn't know then was that they didn't do work unless it had to be done. So created great space for their minds to enjoy life. Well done. 🥰 RnR
It's difficult or indeed impossible to be positive living in the cesspit they now call the UK even being wealthy.... luckily I expect this to change once we've found the right house in Spain 🥰🍾👍🤞
We totally agree that when your not happy in your environment it's difficult to be positive. We wish you lots if luck in finding your dream home in Spain. 🥰 xx

We can learn a lot from Ancient civilizations. Yes, Candy is a little character, she loves ❤️ to get involved. 🥰
Once you get over 50 the word dilligaf represents you 😂
