i mean there’s phones with touch id so just invent a backpack or a purse with a sensor on it with maybe just you and your family’s finger print!! like just on the buttons or something so if you’re on a subway and someone accidentally touches your bag a loud siren doesn’t go off ya know 😂😂

Actually I think kankens are originally invented for kids and are basically school bags. My boys (2 and 4 year olds) have the mini for school bags and it is awesome because of the colour range you can choose from is really kid friendly - but to be honest I love them too (note: my younger boy has the frost green one you mentioned and it is truly very nice) and of course the durability is just awesome. Now these bags are really popular among adults too and I totally understand why. Thank you for your review it was really nice to hear an opinion from another point of view and see that these bags can work for a totally diferent lifestyle too, it shows how versatile they are.

I bought the mini just a little while ago. I love it but after using it for a while, I think I'd like to get the classic (medium size) because I like to have a light sweather/sweatshirt in my bag once it gets cooler and the mini (for me) can only hold the essentials. Still love it for day trips
Really great video! To prevent pick pocketing, I put a small luggage combination lock on the two zippers for the main compartment. It seems to deter would be thieves. 😊👍

I LOVE Fjällräven Kånken. I have the Re-Kånken right now. The video was very Good. I do not know why, but i miss that you did not talk about the "sitting-pad", that also helps the kånken to be stabile, but also that there are WAY more sorts of Kånken. I Love your channel! // A girl from Sweden.
A tip: keep the zippers in the middle of the opening. MUCH easier! The original size is perfect, just like you said, for school or job. Personally, I think that Kånken makes a look more complete and nice. For me, Kånken is a Perfect choice for everyone. (I know that the text sounds like a commercial, well... ) Many hugs!
If the minis are made the same way now as before, then the fabric is actually vinyl. I actually got told wrong in a store & thought I would need to wax mine after some time so that it would stay water resistant.

Lily Seals It depends on the size...of your notebook is the standard moleskine or composition size I think it would be fine, but I would probably get the standard for school. That being said, I use my mini as a gym bag! It fits my gym shoes, clothes and a few small items like hair ties, etc.

I'm looking for a small backpack for my trip to Italy because I'm paranoid of pickpockets... I'm considering getting the Fjallraven Kanken Mini because it looks so cute, but it also worries me a bit that there is no partition or zipper pockets inside! Do you think all your things get messy inside the bag, like do you have to dig around to find stuff if you have a lot of small things? I just wish there's a zipper compartment where I can hide my passport!
I have the same concerns! I would put the passport in the the pocket in the back of the bag. It's as deep as the bag is long, so it won't come out unless you take it out. I also see a lot of tourists in new york wear their small backpacks on their front rather than their back to prevent pickpocket-ers. Have a lovely time in Italy!!!

MissRuthless good question. I use it several times a week primarily as my gym bag now because my shoes, clothes, and small items fit in so well and it's easy to carry. I still use it over the weekends if we're going somewhere as well. I haven't needed to clean the outside because the color is so dark but I've noticed that the light colored ones (mostly pink and yellow) show dirt a lot.
on the original website, i prefer to get items off the original website bc i don’t want to get scammed😬, the mini backpack is $70 and the classic is $80. Honestly it is over priced comparing it to the classic. i ordered the 15” laptop backpack yesterday and it was $115 (without tax) and i think it would be worth the money consider the durability of the bags from what i’ve heard. but i think the mini price should go down about $20 since it’s still he same material and very durable. but that’s my opinion, without the bag, but once i have one i’ll give my opinion again!!
I would say that if you have a more slender body frame that it would look really nice. If you're unsure I think the next size up would definitely work well!

The Styrofoam is actually included so that if you need to sit but don't want to sit directly on the grass, you sit on that :)

I use pouches inside the bag stacked up i fit lots and it really works for me
