One of the worst movies ever. But it's good as an IQ test. If the person likes it you know what type of person you are dealing with. They clearly don't care about plot holes, logic or writing. Run.
Nice review man, I understand your criticisms with this one. I agree that the film went a little overboard with the references, not to the same level of Ghostbusters: frozen empire but I do think they could've toned it down alright. But other than that I really enjoyed the film, I liked the cinematography, direction, practical effects, acting, horror and suspense, overall for me it's the best in the franchise since the first 2! And I am gonna follow you on letterboxd!
I can't help but think Ridley Scott has meddled. The final ending seems shoe horned in and the cgi of the android face looks so fake compared to the great space and ship effects that I wonder if it was added late on. It was an ok film there were some very tense early moments but it was spoiled by the latter half and ending. I'd give it a 7/10. For me it's better than resurrection but I'd still rate it behind 3 (which I always enjoyed)
Yeah that's all understandable and a fair rating, I need to rewatch 3 because I've only ever watched it once which was years ago so it'll be interesting to see if my opinion on it differs slightly!

I love it just to be clear it was a spinoff sequel to Alien
It's all good I know I was keeping it a bit vague for those unaware, glad you love it!
I hate when movies do "Fan Service" - it destroys any immersion.
Great video! I agree more Xenomorph and horror! I thought it was alright 👍
Absolutely! Thank you!

@Willakimbo_ I actually like the directors cut of Alien 3. If you are gonna rewatch I'd recommend that cut 🎬
@@Oatieo1337 Ah thank you for the recommendation, I'll definitely check that version out!
I love practical effects but those looked incredibly cheap. Not even close to any of the first movies and this should tell you something.
