A huge thanks to Pleasure Beach for some limited edition goodies! They just don't miss with their merchandise quality, make sure to smash the link in the description to shop the range for yourself!
Well done for not copy-pasting the link in the description!
@@josh0108 It's in there? aha use ya eyessss
Yeah whoever does the merch for BPB does have a good eye for nice looking goodies!
I find the Merlin stuff a bit boring and naff.
@@adamtrue7691 Merlin stuff is better than most parks we've been to in Europe. Plopsaland, Europa Park, Phantasialand had a shockingly poor range of merch just to name a few
@@LiftHillsandThrills surprising!
I was going to say theres no way I can see Amanda removing a show venue and replacing it with a ride, but if its for a hotel then thats far more likely 😂
Oh absolutely but that hotel could also stretch into Ice Blast territory, its future is still very much uncertain which is why the statement on opening day was even more baffling to me but all will be revealed I'm sure.
That transition with the hoody was smooth
Thanks man 😂
Intamin hot racer similar to Mahuka, can be themed to racing as a call back to Grand Prix. Not too expensive, unique and will fit into a small footprint
We released that theory 6 months ago to start 99% of the chatter. 6 months on, I highly doubt it'll happen but PBR do love a good pivot!
Think Amanda is trying to soften you up! The 1st hoody is a keeper. 👌
She needs to jump on a Coaster Conversations (in person) for that to happen
they need to get rid of the hot on ice and ice blast make a chair swing ride they have the tower for it great vlog cheers
Thanks for watching
I have figured it out. They have closed the Grand Prix to strip the track of its copper. Now they will sell the copper, which will then buy a 300ft drop tower which will replace ice blast lol
Ha! Imagine
I think they need to add some new flats and a proper tlc package of all existing rides to make the park look vibrant again. New trains for infusion would be nice too!! Either go back to the old pay per ride / wristband system or scrap the e ticket as it still makes no sense to have to scan at every ride once your in the park. They should focus on the above over the next 2/3 years and in the 3rd year market their next big investment with park wide teasers. More late night riding during illuminations too
I'm not a park owner but there is absolutely no chance they don't already know is, my question is, why on earth are they not doing it. Is something stopping them doing it? The most logical answer is not being done and a way that is driving people away from the park seems the only one they're entertaining. Would love to know why.
PB has to understand that the bulk of its footfall are holiday makers that visit as a discretionary spend while already in Blackpool. They need a price point and structure that is going to maximise that capture. Its a very price sensitive audience. If that revenue isn't enough to cover the run rate then they need to look at their over the top sells. Make people WANT to eat in the park etc. Its very easy for me to sit here and armchair run the park but its basic business sense. What are our assets and liabilities? Remove the liabilities and add to the assets! Basic stuff would go a long way.
Anyone can armchair run it better when it’s common sense but there’s a few too many personalities clashing over there
The 3 obvious options for BPB are all costly.
Major refurb or conversion of grand national by GCI or RMC, extremely costly but that becomes a destination ride for a lot of people.
A new smaller footprint coaster like an intamin single rail or a raptor where GP was
Spend the money and replace Big One with something insane. Thr retrack isnt going to save it and you can make something taller, faster, more thrilling and more reliable
I’ll still never understand how an RMC would make sense at pleasure beach.. like no one would care aha the GP would just be like meh.. and move on 😅
I am intrigued to see what they’re after though but for me it’s gotta be unique enough to intrigue people to visit Vs height etc
Exciting times! Thanks for always keeping us in the loop ❤
No problemo!
Looking forward to visiting Pleasure Beach in September. The first time we’ve been in years! Also staying at The Big Blue Hotel for the first time 😁
Have a lovely time, the hotel is amazing!
@@LiftHillsandThrills Thanks Sean! 🤩
Blackpool Pleasure Beach holds a special place in the hearts of many people. Numerous individuals are hoping and wishing for the park to make some significant investments to revitalize the area, especially to replace empty spaces like the Wild Mouse and Trauma Towers. The park seems neglected in certain parts. Over the years, they could have added a few flat rides, which are known to be great crowd-pleasers, to keep visitors happy.
I sincerely hope the park makes some solid investments and creates a roadmap similar to that of Paultons Park. Additionally, they need to offer a more affordable ticket price for on-the-day purchases and advertise this aggressively along the mile-long road leading to the tower. This strategy could attract the summer beachgoers.
If they flood the area with advertisements highlighting the lower prices during the summer, young people will definitely flock to the park. I genuinely hope Blackpool Pleasure Beach (Resort) finds its way back to prominence, as there is nothing quite as unique as this resort.
This! 👏 couldn’t agree more
@@LiftHillsandThrills Any idea when they might make an announcement? It's definitely exciting with these new rumors!
@@Visualeuphoriastudio I'm sure we'll know more about Ice Blast later this year. The Globe I'm sure within a season or two we'll see what's going on with that and regarding the new ride that'll be 2026 opening (estimated) but that all depends on $$ etc as far as the park announcing anything, I wouldn't hold your breath aha
@@LiftHillsandThrills Thank you for the update! I'll stay patient and keep my expectations realistic about any official announcements. Thanks again for the insights!
@@Visualeuphoriastudio Pleasure!
Let’s just hope the futures bright for pleasure beach ☀️
Fingers crossed! They bloody need it to be!
I agree with your comments, it needs to draw more people in and generally a lot of holidayers to Blackpool probably cannot afford to add the ticket price to their holiday, so bring back pay per ride alongside an unlimited wristband and a £5 to enter the park with no rides option otherwise PBR is going to be at serious risk of not being able to operate in a small amount of time.
Also discount wristband entry and ERT for hotel guests would be a big draw.
Yup! So simple that everyone can see it bar them or there’s something stopping them from doing the easy option that would change the park dramatically
As someone who lives locally to you, and a fellow Vale fan (sufferer) if you wanted to perhaps part with any of those hoodies at anytime… just let me know 😉 😉
Haha noted!
Mate your killing me with all this about the manufacturers 😂 So intrigued as to who was there even if they’ve buggered off now
I'm sure when the ride is built all can be revealed. It's just not right of me to spill the beans with manufacturers who not only send me press content but even some who invite me to events. I wouldn't want to tread on any toes and I definitely would be by outing them by name directly not only their toes but the parks toes (but I'm used to doing that one) haha
@@LiftHillsandThrills mad respect for actually trying to make accurate videos with actual evidence and being realistic rather than just finding the tiniest rumor or piece of information and running miles with it then treating it like fact
Keep up the amazing work 👍
@@Hairydryer_HairdryerxoxoI definitely try to strike a balance where the park question how I know / those who already know wonder how I know and then the flip side of that are enthusiasts who want that extra info that I can’t always provide without getting into trouble 😂 it’s a balance for sure!
That's some sweet merch 😍 got to say BPB make great clothes
They do indeed!
Pay per ride will never return. If you look at the staff numbers and cost when this was in place and how much the park was losing it’s clear to see why they moved away from it. Even in the late nineties when the park was rammed the model no longer worked and was losing millions. The non rider pass from 2009 helped a little but only made profit once in all years it was in place. Cant see it ever returning when it didn’t work. I think the online price is a bargain, and you can now even get discount online until 9am on the day
They only moved away from it due to external factors that couldn't be controlled. ANYTHING is better than the model they've adopted since covid, THIS doesn't work.
Interesting that it wasn't working as far back as like 26 25 years ago. I would've thought they'd be making thousands every month back then if the place was rammed
That’s it you’ve made it 😂😂😂free merch from your fave park
I think my trip on Sunday is more the 'I've made it statement' it's when Both Disney and Universal see the video stats that I'll very quickly be brought down to earth with a thud hahaha I'm a new channel punching WAY higher than I should be haha just using my websites behind the scenes as extra collateral aha
Imagine if they did evening hours for resort guests and offered a show etc. that would be a very cool perk and I’d struggle to not stay in a pleasure beach hotel.
Agreed! A good idea!
Nice merch!
Thank you!
Please RMC the Big One!
Aha no bloody RMC’s! 😂
I WANT to know those manufacturers 😂
Top Tier, Smooth and Assured. That's all I'll say about each of them haha
@@LiftHillsandThrills I really hope it’s either RMC (doubt it),intamin, Vekoma or Mack
@@themeparkinsane5073 :)
Come on we Need a RMC in the UK…. Hey I’m probably dreaming but I hope.
@@SebsAdventures I think something like Arie Force 1 would be perfect. It’s not massive but yet looks incredible.
I think it's all about attracting people who visit Universal Great Britain down in Bedford to visit Pleasure Beach. The hotels are already up to a really good standard; now the rest of the park needs to be. They probably need to attract only 10% of Universal's visitors, which is what they will probably say to the bank and investors when they want to borrow the money. Merlin and the other UK theme parks will likely be doing the same. If Universal Great Britain doesn`t go ahead, expect a second-hand mini-coaster and a waltzer.
I'm adamant Uni Studios is going ahead they're speaking to manufacturers, have purchased houses in the local area, have prop designers already working on concepts. Why bother unless you were absolutely sure it's happening?
@@LiftHillsandThrills I totally agree. It will be amazing for the UK theme park industry (including Pleasure Beach) because of the money, people and investment they will attract.
Ooh goodies, Blackpool may not be a favorite but it can definitely take a s5em in the right direction
Agreed!
Alot of parks are struggling with the cost of living...I was at Phantasialand on Sunday and it was pretty quiet. Black Mamba was walk on, Tarron 25 mins, Fly 20 mins....crazy.
Not peak time for those guys yet, a quiet Phantasialand is the dream though 🤤 beautiful park , hope you enjoyed it!
Man I wish it had been like this on the last day of Wintertraum when I went in Jan it was absolutely packed
Cool ❤
Thanks
I like the BPB merch, own afew icon hoodies myself
The new ICON hoodies are lovely my old grey one is super thin, these are somewhere in-between!
@LiftHillsandThrills they do look comfy. I really like the sleep wear fluffy hoodie they do too. The icon merch is definitely my most favoured on park in regards to clothing.
@@HolyFreakinDragonSlayer Their sleepwear is great! I think I'm the only person who's ever received free merchandise from the park and then gone on to criticise them with positive optimism for the future for 7 mins straight aha
I’m interested too see what’s happening with river caves as the water has been emptied out of the troff and it hasn’t opened this season barr opening day 🤔🤔
I think it'll stay in limbo until that $$ comes in
it currently has a leak and is awaiting a specialist part which apparently has proven hard to get owing to the age of the ride. I hope that it will reopen once they have got that I saw plenty of people on opening day say the boats kept getting stuck so I imagine they are trying to fix it as quickly as they can do
@@jackhodgson8605 Yeah, the big refurb I imagine will only happen when / if they secured more $$ there's been a few hints that it's in the works but not yet received. If only every day on park was like today, rammed!
I'd be curious on whether a buyout is due to happen or if the park will have a change in fortunes with these new rides.
It is a fantastic theme park however it needs to do away with the ride turnstiles.
Kennywood is owned by Parque Reunidos. I wonder if the park's fortunes could improve under the same ownership as Kennywood especially the historical rides 😊
They need a big shake up as no single ride on the planet is going to bring them footfall if prices stay the same
that blue hoodie is lush!
I also wonder where they will get the money for this "Big" Project from... MAybe this is why Amanda has been floggng the dead horse on Hot Ice again recently? Get more people watching it at an upcharge to pay for the new ride XD
haha a show that loses money than makes it... not sure that's the way to go!
Stageworks is a separate business to BPB so Hot Ice revenue won’t be paying for a coaster

Last year was my last ever JTH visit, I’m never visiting that dumpster fire ever again
WILD Card Prediction: Pleasure Beach will be getting a B&M Giga Dive Coaster to reclaim the UK’s Tallest Roller Coaster record.
Still wouldn't bring folks to the park... too thrilling and they'll alienate the mass market they need to return to the park
I'd laugh my head off if BPB get a ride 1ft taller than hyperia and claim "UK's tallest" when its 50ft shorter from sea level
Are they that petty? I dunno
@@LiftHillsandThrills well incorrectly claiming Hyperia is 1ft taller is pretty petty.
I thought that maybe you had evidence, not just speculation.
As most people know who watch the videos 99.9999% of everything I 'speculate' comes true. There's red tape and reasons why someone can't just come out and say what's happening. Just wait and see and all will be revealed
Shame not part of the eu else Blackpool could do what Energylandia did and got massive
Checks from the eu
Hmmm
The Polish government funded Energylandia not the clowns in Brussels.
Merlin takeover within 5 years.
Or bring back the free entry , pay as you go rides. I can remember that place absolutely RAMMED 20 years ago.
Merlin wouldn't want it... they need to improve what they have first that'll take another 5 years+
@@LiftHillsandThrills I can mate , then Merlin have both ends of the promenade. Take Drayton Manor for example, that place almost went bump until Looping group took over and it’s getting back up there with the right investments. And would be interesting to see what Merlin would do with the place
@@kylerandall3012 Too much of a fixer upper in a portfolio of parks that need desperately fixing upping (not a real word) already! aha
Merlin won’t buy it, requires too much investment on top of the cost of buying it out.
They also don’t own anything in Blackpool, they *operate* attractions.
It should be free to walk around bpb charging people to walk around is ridiculas.
You’re still on park and using the facilities / shops etc, I’d say a small charge is absolutely fine for non riders. Nothing crazy.
All speculation as all other RUclipsrs
You see, everyone says that on this channel, and they have done since the day I started until it all mysteriously comes very close to or accurately true :)
That could have covered in one minute lol
Average watch time is 7 mins, safe to say people enjoy the discussions ;)
Probably a draw sean 🥱... they definitely cant bribe you with merchandise pal this video strengthens that fact..... but also i know you have always given bpb credit where its due for there merchandise..it is like you have stated previously something they do get right
I've always separated retail from the park which in a way I feel they do too with two separate social pages etc one gets it spot on, the other has a lot to learn. Their merchandise is superb, I'd be lying if I said anything different
