More than 14.5 % Indian people are under nourished, 21% children are suffering from acute malnutrition, 38.5% of Indian children are not getting enough food to grow, 250 millions of Indian people are not getting food to neutralize their hunger everyday. In other words, India is not in a state of famine, it is quite clearly in a state of chronic hunger.
Mr. Sharma, don't ignore our poverty, hunger, food shortage, unemployment, disease, lack of treatment, malnutrition, women mortality, children mortality, abuse of women, social injustice for women, fanaticism, killing of innocent human beings in the name of protection of cows, riot, chaos, conflict, destruction of religious places by fanatics, division among Indians in the name of religion, and so many other natural and man made calamities.
We believe you are a young man. Do something for yourself, your family and your country. Don't boost with falsehood, fantasy and fabricated superiority. India is still trying to develop. It is not a developed country. You must keep this in mind all the time.
@@gauravsharma1254 largest economy and growth rate are single figures. As a matter of fact even the Per Capita figure doesn't represent the real economy. On need to ponder upon the disparity of Income. But considering the fact that India is such a huge country (by population), it is unlikely that the disparity of income can be reduced to acceptably low levels.
Mo many things learned from this doc. So deep ... Not only about train but ..life
Really really nice documentry. Sir you made me cry several times while watching. My heart goes out for workers and commuters of this line . God bless them all.
Documentary of Human Spirit. Beautiful!!
This place is just 10km from my home in madhubani district of Bihar,
These people are speaking Maithili language which is language of mithilanchal,Bihar
Don't know why we are two countries while my uncle, fufa, fua ji all are now in Nepal,
Janakpur is nearest town of Nepal from Bihar,
We are one people but divided by border only,
We can travelled across border without visa,we often visit to Nepal for Himalayan tour, very close from us
I hope Nepal gets incorporated in India & become a part of it,it will develop immensely,
Coming to this video,I have also travelled on Nepali train, but now India has built a new train route in Nepal, which is very good for India & Nepal people,
Shivam Sinha ,I enjoyed reading your comment ,hopefully your family and all other families have safe travels on the railway ,and on your visits to your family ,thanks for sharing.
India aretaking land illegaly india govt is thief and india is a greedy country work only for profit.hate from nepal
@@alinbade6569 you are not Nepali,u are Pakistani
Nepal will develop on its own. We have less educated unemployment than India. We are better in hunger index, mother child care, rural sanitation etc. than India. Because of the decade long civil war exported by India to Nepal, the devastating earthquake and economic blockade by Mr. Modi our development stood at standstill. In the next two decades Nepal will overtake India and many other nations in South Asia.
@@belbahadurg1 bro,you are filled with hatred,go ahead, god bless Nepal, but for me Nepal is brother of India,
PS. Janki FM in Janakpur,Nepal is owned by my own uncle,on name of my aunty Janki Devi..

Well done documentary. You have not forgotten about the old railways. Thank you God, just for the flies alone, I might not be able to sleep, eat or live.
Very good documentary, made me realise the true hardships in life
This is the definition of why public transport is crucial for for connecting towns!
I'm glad that i watched this and my heart broke a little seeing the old steam locomotives in ruins
Thank you for sharing this. I realy enjoyed this look into the [plight of Nepal / India
Too good a documentary. Editing and camera work is top notch, while story-line connects with audiences altogether. 👍👍👍
Excellent work. Depicted the part played by this train. It is like an old mother struggling to keep their children live. I request BBC to show the feelings of the heros when they travel by the new train to be commissioned. Hats off.
My Ancestral Home is the Last House on Indian Border .In fact the nearest Govt Hospital for us was the Hospital Of Janakpur in Nepal ,where I was born.As a Young Boy we would go to 'no mans land' to play cricket on the Indo-nepalese border. Now I see Military Post coming up...Recently a man was shot by Nepalese Border Guards...Tension is rising and peace between neighbors is collapsing
lots of love from nepal for who makes this documentary....
This route converted into board gauge.... and high class train introduced
The spiritual strength of these people is just amazing.
Blessings to the people of Nepal and India 🙏
Good documentary for the next generations to show the importance of railway line and the connections within countries

In Indian railway, Still Few 20-25 year Locomotives running smoothly. And In Nepal they finished off 20 year old engines donated by India..Shows the work Ethics.
Anyway salute To Rezina.I wish she gets a happy comfortable life.
now it has changed, india has constructed a new railway(broad gauge) line as well as provided train for daily commutes
Very good documentary sir ,really feel sad for the people who are totally dependent on the train to run their life and hope 1 day their misery will be solved, really heart melting story.
Hope the track will reopen and these people will enjoy better life.
This documentary have made my eyes wet.
It is a wonderful documentary.thanks BBC. I really wept seeing this video.now we are in 2021.jaypur janakpuridham has been upgraded to modern broadguage line . please make video about that . That will make a good end to this documentary.
Some live in Mansions others in broken down shacks , Lord what kind of world have you made...
I guess they found their miracle. This line was gauge converted to broad gauge with replaced tracks this year and the rolling stock will be replaced for something less, uh, utterly doomed. Service starts on Gandhi's birthday. Nepal Railways was dissolved in 2014 though.
Did everyone keep their jobs?
Trevor Grayling the company was dissolved my dude, nobody kept anything. I think Indian railways is training up new staff for the new company. The line is being built by India as like a diplomatic thing. A rather expensive endeavor too at that. So I don't think you'll see much of Regina and others riding on the roof of something India discarded decades ago now either, sadly.
@@excitableboy7031 Here's what it looks like now, 2 1/2 years later. ruclips.net/video/NsHAirvYv0M/видео.html
And don't worry about Regina. She and others like her will do ten times better than before :) I'd wager that a lot of the old Nepal Railway guys will also get jobs on the Nepal side. Things are changing very fast.
Better than any box office hollywoodmovie....narrators for rlys remind me of 60s newsreel....long-live Indian rlys...

Haha. What an amazing people .i have so much respect for them! Beautiful documentary
India should take care of Nepal ....
16:05 can someone tell me what's the name of this song? Or the original source of this song...
There are so many life's lessons to be learnt here, poverty, desperate survival, coexistence of different nationalities and faiths divided by imaginary borders, colossal mismanagement by corrupt government officials, unequal opportunities in job, education, and life style, all that make this world an unfair and yet colourful and hope giving canvas for the future. It is up to humanity to draw the map for the future after overcoming all obstruction and there in lies hope without which survival would be impossible.
Give more help to Nepal , India government give importance to it , more roads and railway to Nepal from India , Nepalis are our brothers

Engineer: "Well, whichever you want, a new one every 3 meters."
Sita maa will be very happy , good filming .
I'm a train and I approve this video choo choo! :)
No factory no building. Bro. See the natural beauty. Those rich(so called) countries can never get that peace and calmness of the nature. That's not called poor idiot(BBC). That is the real richness.
Does this richness feed of empty and hungry stomachs? What to do with this natural richness?
Better connectivity will help everyone, now nepal can get resources from and send exports to indian ports faster and indian ports in turn will process more creating new jobs.We should work together more to help each other.
Wonderful Documentary
I'm live in kolkata but my native place is madhubani and madhubani isn't far away from nepal's border. I have been there for a long period and went nepal lots of time . Specially janakpur because janakpur is a famous place for hindus because of goddess sita's native place.
I love this documentary because they have used my mother tongue maithili as well...
Director is Maithil
