    It took 16 years before we had a dunk contest worthy of Vince Carter's 2000 performance. Aaron Gordon and Zach Lavine put on a hell of a show. I don't usually say this, but it was worth the wait.

    Props to Ibaka but the thing about Jordan's dunk vs Ibaka's is that even though Ibaka's was slightly further, Jordan did it with more style coming in dribbling and double clutching, and with his smaller size and higher lift it literally made it look like he was walking on air.

    • @organikness
      @organikness 9 лет назад +2

      +Tiiger plus Jordan had finesse. I've never been a huge Jordan fan (I was always into the Rain Man back in the day) but you can't deny he had style

      +Tiiger Yeah sure, but Ibaka was behind the line unlike most players. I think he's the only one I've seen do it from behind the line, of course though pound for pound it's a better dunk when someone 6'6 does it but I haven't seen guys of any size get it from truly behind the line

      Well, there's something special about Vince Carters entree into the dunk contest. 16 years later the dunk contest was finally re-energized. This year it was actually a real competition between two incredible dunkers. Hearing Kenny say "It's over!!!" for the first time in 16 years since he said it regarding a Carter dunk. 2000 will forever be known as the greatest one man show. 2016 goes down in history as a 2 man show. I'm happy to see the dunk contest being taken seriously again!

    Jordan's free throw dunk is still the nicest one out of all of them, not only was he the only one that actually brought it back to his chest and then dunked it but he's also the only one that dribbled the whole way down the court before taking off

    Dwight Howard's superman dunk is overrated, but his dunk where he tapped it off the glass was insane. Also, that Griffin dunk was lame.

    • @javarison5386
      @javarison5386 9 лет назад +9

      How was it lame? That was the truest 360 dunk I've ever seen. Look at how his feet are pointed at the basket before he takes off. Most people already have their feet turned 1/4 of the way around making it easier to spin

    MJs freethrow dunk is still one of a kind,, no one can copy it, all who copy his dunk did not dribble the ball and on top of that they did no do the double clutch before slamminq the ball into the hoop

  • @iFupTrolls
    @iFupTrolls 9 лет назад +6

    Jason Richardson dunks are among the most difficult but Vince Carter's style, power and finesse make him the best. Also Jordan's free throw line dunk is the best of its kind. All the others that jumped from the free throw line were taller and their arms were fully extended as if the won't reach the rim while Jordan did a double pump.

    unbelievable dunks last week. If someone in the future does a 360 between the legs from the free throw line that should end all dunk contest. Both guys last Saturday had top 5 all time dunks. • @duro845
      @duro845 9 лет назад

      Mads Morrison you really think a person can start from 30 feet out run, jump at the exact right time height then if your miraculously in the vicinity your gonna get the ball remotely close to the rim. Its impossible. You said memory, even if he did 20 dunks without a blindfold and put it on on the 21st one he wouldn't be remotely close. Think about it

    • @duro845
      @duro845 9 лет назад

      Mads Morrison there's also a reason they're are looking up is to calculate their hand to eye calculation and their movement and you really think that can be done blindfolded from 30ft out

      geoff He has a vivid imagination? There were (and are) too many great #NBA players and you would think at least 1 would attempt and successfully perform this. The NBA gods chose #23 Ceballos. However, I see your logic behind this. However, there are plenty of other things out there in the NBA & otherwise that can't be explained. Whether he was completely blindfolded or not, it's not so impossible...

    There were some great dunks, but no Harold Minor and the Michael Finley against Barry in the finals!

    I love how Dwight Howard throws the ball in on a mediocre "dunk" and they go nuts, but when Nate Robinson uses his hand when jumping over a guy who's 7' tall they complain.

    I always watch +nbaworthy but I think it will be good if they will put informative labels on their videos like name or year or what series or match something like that.

    Vince Carter had the best dunks in the dunk contest and against France when he stole the ball and dunked over a guy.
