In the process of learning this song and these videos have been very helpful. It's mind-blowing the amount of nuance and phrasing present in Andy's playing. Each individual thing might seem small and easy to replicate in isolation but taking the song as a whole makes a MASSIVE difference and I've been trying really hard to try and get some of that into my playing. Brilliant.
it´s such an amazing master piece, my friend. It´s one of the most beutiful pieces on solo guitar I´ve ever heard.. Really good on you. I just can say THANK YOU A LOT FOR THIS.
I can't wait to learn your song. I am so grateful for you! You are a wonderful artist and an inspiration to those like me, who truly love the guitar. Thank you for sharing your talents and providing this master class.
How do five people dislike the guy that wrote the song teaching the song? You’re an amazing talent Andy! Can’t wait for you to come back through Salt Lake City!
Congrats to the people who've made it to Part Two. LOL :D. Thanks for posting these vids. I've always wanted to learn Rylynn but never got around to it so it was perfect timing to find these vids when I decided that I would start learning this song.
Hmmm. First part of the Rilynn lesson, 31K views. Part two, 9.5K... LOL. Regardless, thanks for posting these amazing lessons. Nothing like having the Master himself teaching.
It's a roll, starting from the thumb and finishing at the pinky. Easiest way to get the feel and timing of this fingering technique is to use a piano. Start with the thumb (on, say, C) and, striking a different note for each finger, you'll finish with your pinky on G. Roll up (C-D-E-F-G), then roll down (G-F-E-D-C). You'll soon get a great feel for the speed and timing. This drill works great for both hands, actually.
7 years and I am still wondering. That answer appears to be responding to the wrong comment or something, because it doesn’t answer how he is muting the strings in the slightest
7:44 - 7:47 is my favourite piece of music by Andy Mckee. It says 100% yes and absolutely beautiful to me every time.
Stunning

+alaindesforges lots of people didn't make it to part 2..
I just found out about the second part, but I had to go to the website, musicoff, and then they gave this link.
It helps me a lot ! Thank you !
Andy good job!
bellissima chitarra e bel suono...
He has the same beaded necklace, which can also be worn on the wrist, that I do.
wow!
With the exception of his thumb Andy's fingernails are short. It's incredible that he can play so crispy like that.
it looks so easy when he plays it
awesome
Is there tabs for this song? Love the video tutorial BTW! 👌🙌
hey does anyone know how he does this upwards strum that he does at 4:41 or 8:26? how does he do that without ringing the strings?

Kris Kornwanich - Greenfield guitars
its hard to get capo like that.. capo 4strings 😂
+Andy Al I just turns my capo and use it backwards and it works.
Andy uses a banjo capo. I cut off part of a cheap Dunlop one. (I had a few lying around).
