These games are organised and hosted by clans on a private server.
They work because everyone follows a set of rules in order to recreate a more realistic battle scenario.
Example: Keeping a good formation, no solo playing, no trolling.
It worth also mentioning these are friendly games. Winning is certainly our goal but it doesn't matter as long as we have an epic fight to talk about!

I mean - your videos are fun all the time but the rp context and the strategic context are just really immersive and fun
wasnt really much strategy going on, when they were on the defence they really didnt need to charge they should have just held their shield wall and let another unit try to flank.

DUDE this storytelling - how did you lot put all this together? Just magnificent. The discipline in the battle units is impressive, and the cooperation of the playerbase in general to create engaging fights for the participants and the YT audience is really appreciated.

@@Benoniyoutube damn, i want to play these sorts of battles. I don't need all the extra RP so much, but having proper battle plans and scheduled skirmishes with serious cooperation would be sick. I miss the Warband multiplayer battles.

I'm a warhammer fan. I like the role play and the story telling. Gave me a battlerep vibe but we see the action. Got me hooked.
Epic video :D specifically at 14:51 here you learned from the previous time the roundshields used that fake retreat feint on you, this time your men recognized and kept control way tighter and repelled it. that final fight, your cav went in early and into the defensive line, no wonder they got smacked so hard. i'm not sure how much bannerlord has in terms of weapon tactics but the high and low ground do seem to make a large difference.

Definitely one of your BEST videos yet Benoni! Absolutely love the role play aspects, the cuts, the intro and so on, SO immersive. Only thing I wanna mention, please don’t cut away the rest of the fights so early, even if you’re already dead. Especially in the last battle I would’ve loved to see the actual end and everyone fighting for their lives.

Mostly I end it when the battle is for sure won for one side. However, I’ll take your comment into consideration and do a mix. A few how I do them and 1-2 of the closer rounds a bit longer! :) thanks again
Yeah I'd love to see a shot of the end or conclusion of the battle to visualize the defeat. I think it would have fit nicely during the scenes where the characters are escaping. Anyways, amazing video, it was a joy from start to end. That little epilogue scene was a great touch :)

One of the finest ones yet. Was not a fan of these 100% at first but they have certainly grown on me over time to where I enjoy each video, keep up the fantastic work. I love Bannerlord although I've never tried the multiplayer you make it look like you guys have one of the finest groups around, looks amazing.

This is the 4th vid I've watch in a row so far. I just put them in a queue and have been watching back to back. This is like the medieval equivalent of those Arma/Squad battles from Operator Drewski. This is sooooo bad ass dude. I love to see communities like this get together and have fun with games like this.

Can just imagine the knight screaming something to that solider like " Gabriel ride!!" soo cool. wish I had some friends to RP with lol.
a while ago i thought to myself how cool it would be to play a massively multiplayer war in bannerlord and be a soldier commanded by someone fighting alongside people who know how to play a role. but then i thought to myself, there would just be trolls who would fuck around and ruin it. or people that would hide till their the last standing. idk. but this changes everything. and the storytelling aspect to this where people are acting it out like regular people living life in those days just tops it all off. and makes it so much better than if you were to just tell us. little things like that make it so much more. not that the battles were fucking sick though. watching yall plow into the enemy shield wall and use different tactics to control the battlefield in real time is just insane to me. kinda wish this was doable in regular bannerlord but i guess thats just too much for a little indie team. that and coop campaign. but i digress. this video was so fucking sick dude. i really hope to see more in the future.
I hope you guys will have siege battles eventually. That castle is just begging for it. It'd be amazing.
We actually have over 8 castle siege maps. We will certainly use them more moving forward. The story needs it!

Awesome video again. i love the RP elements. It would be nice to get something like a permanent conquest mode in which all our battles take place. So every battle is inbedded into a larger geographical conflict with different areas/castles/towns. Anyway, keep the videos coming. For the lady!

Excellent video, I really like the multiple maps and scenarios incorporated to make a cohesive story! Also the battles feel super realistic I find it amazing how a slight shift in morale can change the tide. Well done keep ‘en coming sir !!

At 2:00 if Tale Worlds or a mod allowed to load a manipulatable weather that could put dark clouds coming from that way (or just use the sound in video editing phase) you would communicate something "is about to change"... with natural effects, no words. Or just raise a lot of smoke in the sky as ambushers received the order to burn everything.
Another thing that is missing, is having torches from "Raise your Torches" and fire arrows from the same modder and have night battles, this is something I haven't seen and that is making the narration in general watching many videos a little less dynamic and thus less credible.
Maybe also just narrative parts could be used at night if you don't wanna fight at night. However fight at night might not have happened like not in winter... but it's always fun.
The messy and uneaven terain to fight on is the best thing ... sincerely also the "bad" map of last sunday was actually good even if roof stuff isn't really realistic... but it's good to have fights where u also add the terrain factor. Having just a bridge water and flatness .. is bad. it's good to have bushes, hills, trees, stairs, alleys, corridors, towers, and so on, cliffs that are walkable...etc This fight at 7:30 is great.
Please ask Tale Worlds to introduce the Key binding for Toggling off the UI.. Please.

Basically a battlelarp in a video game, looks amazing. You guys should try one of the warhammer fantasy or witcher battle larps happening in Europe, and I should try out those Bannerlord battles.
hey little idea, but you could hash out an entire "campaign" about these battles. you draw up maps with the coalition territory and BREs and each week have battles over certain territory and what not. would love to join but from the US i just dont think the time difference would let me lol.

This was pretty epic. Would love to see you guys go up against various types of factions, perhaps roleplaying through rebellions, civil wars, squabbles between lesser nobles, foreign invasions, military expeditions, etc.
Civil war has happened in the past. No doubt, it will happen again ;)

I have seen the archer video recently and want to comment on the tactic of the English putting them sometimes on the flanks to shoot the enemies from the side. This would be best effective in restrictive terrain where your infantry won't get flanked easily and cavalry charges are useless and could get devastating for the enemies. Like shooting them to make them lower their shields so the cavalry can charge them, the infantry could too.
