They had some time off, Reno and Iharu were in the hospital for a bit. This new Kaiju reminds me of a character in One Piece that you are a few (okay, several) hundred episodes away from meeting. This episode covers about 2½ chapters of the manga. It gets crazy from here. The manga itself isn't done yet, there's still plenty of material for a couple more seasons as it is right now. If there isn't a 2nd season, the world doesn't make sense.
Kaiju is the general category for all of them, we know that part. *_Yoju_* are the smaller or weaker Kaiju. In this universe, they often accompany the more powerful Kaiju. *_Honju_* are more powerful than and biggest than the Yoju. *_Daikaiju_* are the most powerful irrespective of size. Any Kaiju with a fortitude of at least 8 is a Daikaiju. IIRC, the fortitude scale is similar to the Richter scale, in that each increase is exponential rather than linear. 7 is ten times more powerful than 6 sort of thing.
Never apologise for "life happening". You're both still young and beautiful people; life is supposed to happen to you. When you get to my age you'll be begging for life to happen 🤣
@@tobototoki but you might be right tho, the timeframe is not clear even in manga. the raid may happen not long after the previous mission. as kikoru said the kaiju technology can heal them quickly and hoshina was not moving on yet from #8 battle yet
