The most beautiful thing, to me, is just how _fast_ Odysseus dropped the trident after Poseidon agreed to his terms. That might have been the most pleasurable experience of his life, second only to *seeing his wife again* but Ody isn't going to torment a broken man for no good reason. *_He's better than that._*
I mean I guess its beautiful to see his dedication but at what cost? he still sacrificed 6 of his men AND decided that most of his crew was going to die just so he could go back to his wife. Don't get me wrong I love this story and Penelope but I don't really see anything admirable about Odysseus anymore. There were so many men on his ship who were fighting to be back with their families and Odysseus put himself first so easily. He IS the monster now, 100%.
@@bibliobibuli1"decided most of him men" bruh how? He had no warning. No information. Just a sudden storm and then "you blinded my son, I'll kill over 400 men".
@@bibliobibuli1 yeah...after they literally stabbed him in the back and brought the entire situation upon themselves in the 1st place, even though Odysseus full blown told them why what they where about to do was a bad idea, as for the 6 man thing...Scylla is literally immortal and such a threat gods in Epic fear her, at that point in the story...they literally had no way to fight or do anything to her
@@bibliobibuli1 Can you really blame a man for not sacrificing himself to a bunch of people who have betrayed him multiple times by that point? And for what? Beacus it might be treasure in that bag? They might be able to eat the immortal cows if they try hard enough? Sure Ody sacrificed six random men for safe passage, so they stabbed him in the back. But guess what? As soon as things go wrong from their own choices(against Ody's warnings), they immediately turn around to Oddyesus to lead them again: "Captain?". And if it was not for the crew going behind his back for their own greed, they would have already been home a long time ago. They can't then go 'suprised Pikachu face' when Ody, still bleeding from the back they stabbed, chooses them to die over himself.
As an Epic fan seeing your reaction made me feel like how I felt while listening this saga on the livestream for the first time Your reaction was exactly the same as mine . Thank you for the amazing reaction and content. You made a good job. Tou earned a follow
