True, but this means that you would be draining aux power to fire your weapons. Aux power plays an important role in determining the strength and effectiveness of exotic abilities. If your aux power has been depleted by firing your aux cannons, then your exotic abilities will have less effectiveness.
You really need to wait as long as you can with Delayed Overload Cascade, when you can see the ships in your net are low on energy then hit it. BUT if you are in Rescue and Search for example and you have a fresh wave warp in, then immediately get sucked in. They will not be destroyed and you will have to chase them. Unless you’re strong enough to have them get sucked in again, which I have seen. But I was using a different set, It was a disco set and that creates extra vortexes I think. I dunno, but no just hold off long before you hit the delayed overload cascade. Do not key bind that with your GW and SV
You should be able to find all the science abilities shown on the exchange. Just remember when searching on the in-game exchange, spelling matters. If you don't have it spelled exactly right, it won't find anything. Also remember that when searching for something like gravity well 3, you need to type "gravity well iii"
Thanks for this vid. It's the only vid I was able to find which actually explains a bit on 'how-to-science' where not only the build is explained but also the order to fire off the abilities. Most content on YT I find was about DEW builds, survival and DPS in general. Most vids show off builds and an ISA run and dont go into much detail when to use what. Do you have (planned) a how-to-science more in detail vid? With this I mean a vid showing how/when to use science abilities the ones shown in this vid) from what distance, basic piloting tips etc. If you have one planned, my I advice a simple patrol to bypass screen rainbow clutter coming from 3 teammates and loads of enemies? Anyways, I'm grinding to recreate this build and try my hand on science. To end, one point of feedback, the amount of "okay"-s become a tad repetative. Ps: last question, what would you do for cooldowns? Would photonic officer be a possibility?
I'm trying to build a strong science character but with the new legendary Enterprise C. This video is really good and would love to copy your skills set. Though will take along time.
Yes, this video was made before the revolutionary set came out. We have actually seen a nice boost to DPS from using it over the temporal, competitive, and other set pieces.
@@TeacherKirby Oh okay thank you very much. I know you mentioned in the video you were testing some things, do those shown in the video stand or did you find something better? Also I do not have improved gravity well but I do have Temporal Anchor, is that okay? Thank you in advance.
@@foogroo Yes, I'm still using delayed overload cascade. It is a bit tricky though. You have to time it so that the enemy dies from the blast before they get yeeted across the map. As for Temporal anchor, it is good. Do remember though that improved gravity well doubles the duration of a gravity well and makes it so you can cast it again as soon as it expires.
@@TeacherKirby Oh yeah I can see your point on that. I remember what ship the crack trait came from, but not sure where improved gravity well or the others come from. Also I am at some point gonna have to buy some keys to crack boxes and hopefully get delphic tear and constriction anchor I believe it's called. I really enjoy this video and will be gaining access to spore-infused anonolies on payday. Thank you very much for making this video and helping me understand it better.
Great build, very informative! Would you use this build for DPS as well? Or do you have a different build for that? Also, i would love to see a vid for tac and eng builds too! Thanks and keep up the great work!
It is a fallacy that science isn't DPS. ANY damage, regardless of the source is DPS. This build, the last time I bothered to parse it in ISA, made about 80K. That was before I added Spore infused anomalies, delayed overload cascade, very cold in space, and electrified anomalies. I would estimate that currently it could break 100K without issue. I do have other builds, some are energy weapon based, some are torpedo based, one is a mine build, and I am working on a pet-based build for my husband. Options for DPS are limitless, you just need to find the right combo of weapons, traits, abilities, etc to make it work.
Hi, Teach. Thank you for the great vid. I learned alot, i just started playing 3 weeks ago. Thanks to you, you been a great help. Keep up the great work. My question is. Dose race or faction, matter with any type of build?
That depends on whether or not you want to be setting DPS records. If you do, then romulan alien all the way. If not, play what you want. You can still get above 100K, which is more than enough to play any content in the game, with any race and faction.
I'm not sure what you are meaning by this. Particle manipulator, on a high EPG build, adds up to 50% crit chance with no cap on crit severity to exotic abilities. This means that, with particle manipulator, it is possible to have 100% crit chance on exotic abilities like gravity well. This is HUGE given that high EPG builds are designed so that gravity well, subspace vortex, and other exotic abilities are the primary source of damage.
only for high lvl player ...why always the hardcore stuff that most player dont have?i have not only gold VI stuff. i play similar to your stuff but not VI gold only its harder for me as for you.. more and more i play sto i know this game is for old players that have lifetime only
I would say it is not a matter of being old or having a lifetime membership. I have an account that is strictly free to play and I have never spent any money on or shared any resources with. That account still has a similar level of gear and dilithium. It has even more EC than my main account as well. This is because I have figured out how to grind smart, not hard. If you watch my videos about quick dilithium and contraband farming and the admiralty system, you'll find that I share that knowledge freely. The videos can be found here: ruclips.net/video/a-fA4_RVMWg/видео.html and here: ruclips.net/video/PJuroXUYGOc/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/2ZQ8YoYG6sc/видео.html
Thanks for the detailed explanation od this build, Teacher Kirby!
Getting back in after years, never did a sci build, this helped a lot. Thanks.
came back today after having been gone since 2015
Annoyingly Psychological Warfare is now very rare on the Exchange, and priced at roughly 35million EC. I was hoping to get it for my new Sci too!
Send me an in-game email @teacherkirby
If you use the multimission science vessel you can use the AUX cannons instead of beams so you're not losing punch in your primary weapons.
True, but this means that you would be draining aux power to fire your weapons. Aux power plays an important role in determining the strength and effectiveness of exotic abilities. If your aux power has been depleted by firing your aux cannons, then your exotic abilities will have less effectiveness.
Oh. What about your specializations and doff roster ?

Hi! Where do you get these BOFF skills from? I can't find them on the Exchange or on the Boff trainer that sells the training manuals.

sorry, what secondary deflector are you using?

Unlike the bots above, yes I did learn something.
Glad to hear it!
What specializations do you run with this? Maybe I missed it in the video.
Temporal primary and either strategist or intel as secondary
@@TeacherKirby Thank you
Teacher, I have the Revolutionary set which actually gives me nice boosts to control, exotic and aux. Is this good enough?
Yes, this video was made before the revolutionary set came out. We have actually seen a nice boost to DPS from using it over the temporal, competitive, and other set pieces.

I realize it is kinda randomly asking but do anybody know a good website to stream newly released movies online ?
@Bruce Finn flixportal :D
@Will Allan thank you, signed up and it seems to work =) Appreciate it !!
@Bruce Finn Happy to help :)
id skip the abalative shell and get somehtng more offensive..like anchored or adaptive offence
anyone got an engineering build (maybe romulan?)
particle manipulator doesn't do that much now
