That is an extremely slow way to set up something to be drilled!!! That's why those clamping kits usually sit in a corner for years without ever being used.

Did you see the size of the drill press? Skimp on clamping and you'll be sorry the rest of your life (which may not be that long).
Where do you get the clamping bolts ?
Let's say you want you metal piece to move to find the center of a hole you have in the piece already. What would be best to move?
