Yeah, I think a lot of high level Hilton Honors member were disappointed of the service level at $500/night
I have absolutely no opinion - I haven't been, so please discard my comment.
I could see some negative comments coming from the original Royal Caribbean owners and just Royal Resort owners, this property was "taken/sold" out of the Royals and there were many memories made at the original Royal Caribbean, Royal Mayan, and Royal Islander!

Definitely no self-serve at the resort property.
Hi great review. Planning to book for next year. What room number were you in and what room type was it? Was it the Premium Ocean View Room?
I can recall room number, but I was the most basic room. Since all rooms were ocean view.
I wish you would have shown the nightly activities calendar. I can't find one anywhere, and you can only access this while at the resort. UGH. We are looking to see what they have for adults in the evenings after dinner.

Thanks for the video! I am planning on having my honeymoon there in mid-January 2025. We are debating between an adult-only hotel or Hilton Mar Caribe. Since we are going during school season for MEX and US, we should not see many kids, right? Do you have any thoughts or recommendations based on your experience? Thanks!
Congrats! If kids bother you, then I think you should avoid it. there were many events (even late night ones) that was completely swamped with kids. If you are looking for adult only. What did you use for transportation to and from the airport?
I booked a ride in advance on Viator to get to the resort. On return, I saw some people getting picked up by uber. Uber price isn't so good though.
What about their liquor selections were they top tier since the prices for this hotel is pretty expensive?
That just the thing, I don't feel like I was getting top tier food/drinks for the price they are charging. The top stuff i see at lobby bars are Titos, johnnie walker black, and Don Julio blanco. However, you might pay up to get the "Enclave" level, they might have something better. but every time I stopped by any Enclave area, they were always dead.
Atleast there's some known brands, i've been to others where it wasn't even a named brand liquor. Thank you so much for the review and reply back :)@@FlameMing
Also, someone commented that the pool water was cold. Do you remember that being the case?
It's not cold, I think people were complaining because the small pools closest to the beach looks like hot tubs. but they are just regular small pools. So I guess people were disappointed when they first got in and didn't feel the steaming hot tub water
Yes, the pools are cool/cold. During noon, they are some what cool. There is one small heated pool, but that is not for regular status members. Here at resort now. Beach is nice sized, but lots of waves and windy.

Mid December 2023. Keep in mind I was filming in the morning(8:00am). So people are still sleeping

Yes, Hard seltzers are finally making their way into these Cancun resorts

Hi we are going to this resort in April! I saw all those restaurants that you have to make reservations for…do you have to pay for some of the restaurants?! My first time going to a all inclusive😏
No, but in some restaurants they will try to upsell you lobster or tomahawk steak. Just watch out for those.

@@davidjones8657 Not sure how much the prices are now, if it's anywhere near $600/night, I'd say the food quality needs to be slightly better at the buffet, drinks brands should be better too. All the ocean-view rooms are nice though. and Plenty of activities. I also like their online restaurant reservation system. Better than Hyatt's.

You will get it when you check in. It's a website(not an app), availability is all very good, so you shouldn't have trouble reserving same day

Looking into booking this hotel. Is the reason for not liking this hotel due to the room situation and check -in wait time ? Why else would you not recommend it ?

Was the pool heated?
It didn't feel cold, but it definitely wasn't hot tub temperature.
All restaurants ( food and drinks) are free?
It's an all-inclusive. You paid for it upfront for the room
Is the resort close to La Isla shopping mall?
