This has got to be your most epic video to date. Wow very impressive job! The Trinitron shines on the NES! Do you prefer this Trinitron over the other one with the built -in vcr?

I'm glad you think so! I worked hard on this one. Very exciting to hear. And I'm not sure, I truly love that other Sony - especially because it has that VCR. But this newer Trinitron makes the N64/SNES/NES look SO good.
Also, working on a similar video about the 40 or 50 Intellivision games I just bought! That's why I featured a little bonus at the very end of this video.

That's awesome! I love those VHS tapes - they are grails to me. So hard to find in the wild!
Excited to see the finished retro room!

@@JaWayne The Walls are almost done, which is the main part, right now. Just got to get a couple more framed posters. 😃

@@SKN64Productions That's super dope. It's gotta be the funnest thing to set it all up. I need to do more with the walls - I mainly have shelves but posters sound like an awesome idea.

    Awesome Setup.
NES Games, Look Very Crisp on Those type of Crt Tvs, especially since The console was Made for use on Analog.
Sony Trinitrons are also One of the Most Color Accurate Crt tvs, So thats also a great Bonus.

That's good to know and makes sense because I use Sony video cameras and they're color accurate as well. I love the look of the NES on this CRT. Next I'll be filming all of the Mattel Intellivision video games on a smaller 13" that only has an RF input. It looks super neat on there tho.

I have an NES and got a 27” Trinitron with S-Video for $75 on Facebook marketplace. It looks great.

Nice! That's a steal actually. Plenty big and S-Video. I've sold some Toshibas for $140 and I imagine you could sell a Trinitron for more - so $75 is great! I've bought 2 Trinitrons so far at around $30 each but it's a rare find. Keeping those bad boys!

If you had a Sony Trinitron back in the day, you were high society in my mind. My mom didn’t have much but she had a 32” Sony Trinitron that was the end all, be all to play video games on. Must of us in this era were playing on Zenith or Emerson. If you were lucky you’d be playing on a Magnavox.

That's awesome. That's my dream 32" - or another Toshiba. I think my 32" Toshiba is starting to fade but I haven't inspected it yet. I never knew brands back in the 90s growing up - no idea what we had but I'll have to look through my old photos.

I swear as a kid I never even knew what a Trinitron was. I didn’t really find out what they are all about until I got into CRT retro gaming 3 years ago and discovered everyone raving about them. I got one and fell in love with the Sony brand. Especially those silver flat ones called Wegas!

You probably just need a q-tip with a bit of cleaning solution to clean the pins of SMB 2.

    • @JaWayne
      @JaWayne  3 месяца назад

Good to know! I need to do that to all of them even the ones that do work cause it sometimes takes multiple attempts to boot up. Also, this SMB2 actually has a broken piece in the cart and the contact piece gets pushed up into the cart when you try to insert it. I have the tool for the screws but the screw next to that broken piece is rusted out and I can’t get that one out. I didn’t want to spend too much time but I’ll probably try again soon and try to get that contact thing to sit in there right.

@@JaWayneHey just a very helpful tip. If you find a q-tip with rubbing alcohol is still not working and the pins are excessively dirty - try using a clean q-tip and rubbing a small smear of copper cleaner cream, then immediately clean off with another round of alcohol to remove the solution. Its a guaranteed fix for dirty pins i learned from my retro game store
