- Chili Garlic Sauce is a popular dip sauce made with Chili, garlic, cooking oil, vinegar, salt and sugar. Vinegar is added as a taste maker and as matural preservative and it makes this sauce without any chemical preservative. It is very popular in south Asian countries like Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam and this video will show you how to make restaurant style chili garlic sauce or chili garlic oil in your home..

Ingredients
250 grams Chili (Siling Labuyo)
150 grams Garlic (3 large heads)
3 cups cooking oil
2 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)

DIRECTIONS
Wash the chilies then remove the stalks.
Put the chilies in a blender. Add the garlic and cooking oil. Blend for a few seconds until it becomes tiny bits. Do not over-blend.
After blending, pour in a large pan. Cook in low medium heat while stirring continuously. Cook for around 20 to 25 minutes until the chili changes color.
Then, add the other ingredients. Add the sugar, salt, black pepper and oyster sauce. Stir until well blended. Then add vinegar. After adding vinegar, do not stir for 3 minutes. Just let it boil. This is to avoid “raw taste” of the vinegar.
After 3 minutes, stir and cook for another 20 minutes.
Once the chili and garlic is cooked, remove from heat and let it cool completely.
Put in a clean dry jar with lid.

1/4 kg siling labuyo
3-4 large heads garlic

Dude, this product is for business some even hold recipes dearly, of course chefs would want to stand out from the rest of the market by adjusting their own recipes and keeping it secret...karapatan nila kung magse share o ayaw nila idisclose ang recipes nila.

There's no really huge secret for this specific cooking side dish, just add pirk cubes to it or any other fix preservative ingredients and it will make a great result in terms to taste.

1. Bakit parang sobrang dami po ng 3cups of oil? Hehe. Same measurement ang ginawa ko sa chili and sa garlic. pero sa oil, 2.something lang kasi pang lumulutang na ang chili and garlic hehe.
2. Sa second 20 minutes of cooking, after nilagay ang other ingredients, di ko na tinapos. Parang hanggang 9mins lang ata ako, nasusunog na kasi ang garlic, ang lumalapot na siya, dumidikit sa spoon ang garlic and chili.. Bakit po kaya ganun? Mahina lang din naman sana ang apoy ko hehe

I followed this but it turned out a bit dry, unlike yours na parang sauce. Siguro using the blender made the difference kasi chopped lang yong ginawa ko. 😂

Hello, may naka experience na po ba dito na nagkaka impurities habang nagluluto ng chili garlic? dko po alam bakit nagkaron ng oil impurities sa gilid? color yellow po at pag hinahalo ko dumadami at mayat maya ko inaalis ng kutsara. 1 kilo po niluto ko. nung konti lng niluto ko di naman po ganito 😢 salamat po sa sasagot.

Vinegars serves as a preservatives. You can still use lemon juice but the shelf life would be shorter.
