How to get the Deva Mace (Still Works!)

For people using Keyboard and Mouse, there's a method that still works:
1: Grab the body with a second party member.
2: Now type Deva Mace in the search option. It will appear.
3: After finding it, right click the mace and send it to the character that will use the weapon.

For keyboard and mouse, you can easily acquire Deva Mace from lvl 6 spell Planar Ally by swift clicking. When you click preview on the bottom of inventory window the equipment slots show up in a blink. That's when you can capture them with your quick hands. You can also equip/unequip items from all summons/permanent followers that have equipment slots and are allies (blue circles). I just made videos for this and all the BG3 Pokemon things.
If you insist on acquring it from that guy in the basement, you can resurrect him, control him permanently, and then do the trick.

Didn't work for me. Minthara picked up the devas body but couldnt equip the mace. What went wrong?

If the devs did not intend for the dev mace to be found, why is there a description of it?

I think every weapon has a decription.

My testing a few days ago was done exclusively with Devas. It works.

Curious, this didnt work for the deva's but i was able to do this to genie several bosses and lvl 4 elemental summons.
seems like larian really dont like that we get deva maces, but at the same time, if we kill some one with lvl 12 flame blade and loot them, we get permanent flame blade that is stronger than the deva mace(+d6 every 2 levels), especially with arson oils that converts fire resistances to fire weaknes on mobs.

It's because you're a Warlock/Cleric. Change your class and try again!

I think it depends on which deity you pissed off. If you offer to Selune, then steal your stuff from her chest, you will get the devas.
You can steal from the big chest afterwards and nothing changes

Can confirm that is what I had to do as well. I am still on Patch 6 though for anyone wondering. Couple mods i use haven't been updated yet. It's amazing on Minthara especially though!!
