Thanks for showing us a raft loading onto the conveyor, was really cool too watch! Would be great if you could show us a raft coming off the conveyor at the top :).
This is exactly what I wanted to see; how a waterpark starts up for the day's operations; or what I like to call the "boot up". I figured the pumps for the slides and attractions are switched off daily, not the filtration system as that system is fully circulatory based (closed circuit), but of course just like our pools and water attractions a storm can throw the system off line (built in protection). It is a lot of work to go from stand by to staging (ready for life guards to take their station / guard stand ready to receive guests through the gates).
Oh no I'm sitting here nodding along with him going "yeah labor day just happened I bet it was busy there" knowing damn well I was our memorial day weekend camping trip 😑
Great video, I never seen waterslides start up. One pool leaves theirs on all night (St Lucia holiday camp). Only place I probley would of seen it at would be Letchworth when the wave machine was out of action before the use of the water slides were banned to the club I was part of due to Health and Safety.
I have 3 questions 1. What time does your park open? 2. How many liters of water does the park use a day? 3. How often do you clean the water filters? Nice video as well like it and keep it up man loving it
might be bit of silly question, but, maybe one day during another video if/when you have time, id like to know a little about the uplighters being used on the slides ? to me they look like martin units but im not 100% :)
Your day looks like it was more fun than mine, had to do an emergency pump changeout, the P.O.S FlexFlow decided to fail at the worst possible time, subbed in a trusty Stenner for now while it's decided whether to fix the Flexflow or replace it, Stenner is my go to pump though one of these days I'll be giving the Mec-O-Matic a try as one of the ancient LMI pumps is starting to wear out and to replace it is very costly
Can you go into more detail about how the pumps starting up at the same time drains the surge pit? The park I used to work at didn’t start the pumps at the same time due to inrush current.
Crazy to think I recognised this water park and wasn’t until the Howdy sign came up I had to google it. Turns out it was the one I went to when I was over in America 2 years ago visiting family.
PLC, VFD, Soft Starters, and motors. This will be your typical day. Most attractions use all these to operate. Unfortunately, each manufacturer uses their own suppliers, so matching and stocking up critical spares is difficult as your required to have many brands of the same thing. ASTM standards require that the manufacturer parts are utilized and not use replacements that are not original without a variance from the manufacturer of the attraction.
Hold on a second, the chairs and loungers at the cabanas at 4:20..... HOW DO YOU GET THEM THAT CLEAN?!! I work at Wet n Wild Emerald Pointe currently on my 3rd year there, every pre-season we use bleach Mold n Mildew, LOTS n LOTS of scrubbing, and pressure washers and we can't get them that clean... except maybe the plastic chairs. I thought i did a good job, this shows i don't.
Does that raft conveyor have some safety sensors that can detect a person still sitting inside? With the way trends on tiktok or so are going I could very well imagine someone trying to get up the tower without using stairs🤦
@@mrbburba I believe there was a horrific tragedy related to some type of inclined raft conveyor a few years ago. I don't have the details in front of me, but I believe there was a 'pile up' of rafts and someone got pulled under the conveyor. There are lots of safety sensors on these machines.
Twister is one of my favorite movies of all time!
0:24 "None of my team have arrived either". But at least we are all here!
Lol
can you make a video on closing the park?
My background is electrical, but watching this channel makes me want to work at a waterpark so bad😂😂 Anyone else?
And btw man, love the vids!
12:29 neat little weather resistant cover with its own built in sunshade!
How can anybody possibly dislike these videos? What a nice guy
Debris!!! I was just watching that movie the other day. “Another cow , I think that was the same one “
"We got cows!"
I absolutely love Twister ❤️
I knew the quote when I heard it! Glad my parents made me watch that movie!
I know nothing about pools but since Ive started watching your videos I keep find myself learning about pools. I can't explain it.
Watching the point the water just begins to come down the flumes, after the pumps are started is brilliant.
" God Meg, you got a lot of beef, Where'd you get all this beef?" "Did ya see my cows out front?" "no" oh! ohhhhhhh!
Meg.s gravy is famous its practicly a food group
"I got to go! We got cows!"
" THATS NOT A MOON! THATS A SPACESTATIOOOOOOON!!! WOOOOHOOO!!"
Sounds like the park was near the suck zone
when he told the dead bugs to "get away! We don't want you!!!" in an Oscar the grouch voice I died XD
the conveyor system is so cool systems like that are so interesting
Over here in the netherlands ther is a theme park that has a water slide thing as wel with inflateble boats they use a convaier belt as wel
@@ljmike1204 Wait wat welk park
Awesome video. I always wondered how water parks start up for the day.
there's something so therapeutic about watching these videos.. makes me want to be a waterpark maintenance guy tbh
I think i have not mentioned it before... But your place looks amazing!
There's something really satisfying about watching water slowly trickle down a slide 😁
Thanks for showing us a raft loading onto the conveyor, was really cool too watch! Would be great if you could show us a raft coming off the conveyor at the top :).
"Its the suck zone. Basically, it the part where the twister sucks you up."
Very nicely put together video and very entertaining as well. Thanks for posting this.
14:40
Speaking of timing, I’ve seen timing go wrong and rip a raft to shreds, it was pretty crazy.
"YES HE'S GONNA DO A RAFT...OH MY GOD ANOTHER ONE THIS IS AMAZING"

I like how he says Labor Day when it was the Saturday before Memorial day
Did I really? Guess the monster didn't kick in at that point.
Oh no I'm sitting here nodding along with him going "yeah labor day just happened I bet it was busy there" knowing damn well I was our memorial day weekend camping trip 😑
That conveyor system is super neat
I don't know how I got here, but this video is strangely entertaining. Very well done.
0:30 That inspection sticker looking a little old there 👀 Cops won't take the "covid closed the stations" excuse anymore. Ask me how I know 😅
you've never seen it miss this house and miss that house and come after you!
The funniest bit for me in the movie was when the cow flew by. The look of total astonhment on that womens face whilst trying to talk to her patient
the pool looks amazing!! and yes cant wait for the Merch!

The water flow was very satisfying
I hope your big red D heals up :) Texas has been getting hit by super storms this early spring.
It’s ashame this channel went stagnant :/ barely any videos in 2 years. Life happens but this was such a great calming and interesting content
It's been tough, but I should have more this year.
Would love to see a whole video about the rafts
Super cool and informative video!
Love your videos man! Can we see some of the slides starting up from the top of the ride?
I noticed where he filmed it and I'm a big fan of the buisness(Typhoon Texas)I live in central Texas. You should film at the one here.
Hey, thanks for view and comment. If you look back, I do have a few videos from the Austin location.
I have 3 questions
1. What time does your park open?
2. How many liters of water does the park use a day?
3. How often do you clean the water filters?
Nice video as well like it and keep it up man loving it
Never been this early to a vid.
Hopefully, nothing got seriously damaged.

Have you thought about adding a battery (ups) and generator system for backup power?
Does anyone else watch these and just reminisce about playing roller coaster tycoon?

She's a... a therapist
Oh... Yours?
Christ, you couldn't resist, could you?
you should add some public live cameras to the park so that the fans like myself that follow from afar can see the park in opperation
Crazy to think I recognised this water park and wasn’t until the Howdy sign came up I had to google it. Turns out it was the one I went to when I was over in America 2 years ago visiting family.
That's that famous formula 1 driver from France LOL
all that debris looks like the mulch blew out of the gardens in the winds.
Very nice, loved this one.
“Cow!
‘nother cow!
Actually I think that’s the same one”
love the Twister reference
Can you do a video about the Waterslides with the trap door and how do you dispatch it please
‘We gave debris” from the movie twister
Lol, yes!
Next year can you show us the top view of the slides starting up and the inside of the toilet bowl starting up to
that’s so satisfying as the slides start up
Is this the typhoon texas by me? Or do they all look exactly the same?
So I don't work at or own a waterpark, but now I kind of want to do both just so I can satisfy my desire to construct and tinker.
So the rafts eventually will find their way back to the top on their own if you just let them be? that is cool :D
One day there was exploding a cheese factory there was nothing left but debries
Twister! Another great video
You should do a video on how you drain a pool down when it's too full.
Just dump some from a valve in the surge pit.
@6:00, the only thing impressive is that the post didn't fall over sooner, all 6 inches of it below grade. Who set that thing???
What's the purpose of the catch basket hanging in the surge pit (9:00)?
Man, I would love to work a water park, the one that was here shut down years ago now.
So what would happen if you fell out of a raft on the raft rides? Have you ever ridden one without a raft?
“Ya can’t see the line can ya rus”
What kinds of radios/walkie talkies do you use if you use them
Do you switch the slide VSDs on sequentially or are the on an auto sequence?
Can we see a vid of the rafts coming off at the top and stopping if there is a pileup??
Where diz at
I know it's not the exact same industry but any advice for am electrician going into the amusement park industry?

Mornin boss from LA!
That quote is from the movie twister :)
That Saying is from the movie " Twister"
I’m going to have to go we got cows!
you make me nervous sticking head underneath those pipes especially near water pumps..
How long does the river take to get up to speed?
Twister?
Nice ford.
Debris! Right!
Pls build some Aquarena double looping slide with a trapdoor in your park... gonna cost u 2 mil dollars surely but will be worth it :)
Were is this place I live in Texas I’d like to go.
i’d be in the water 90% of the time if that was my job just working barefoot like 😌
How Often do you have to clean out the filters?
Hold on a second, the chairs and loungers at the cabanas at 4:20.....

Twister!!!
aww, almost first!!
Does that raft conveyor have some safety sensors that can detect a person still sitting inside? With the way trends on tiktok or so are going I could very well imagine someone trying to get up the tower without using stairs🤦
Was thinking the same too! Looks like this machine can do alot of harm if someone get stuck in it. xD

Arrested Development fan? ;-)
6:14, the movie is Twister
Typhoon Texas (Edit: that's the name of the waterpark 😂)
Twister is the movie with rusty we have debris
