My son is there now. Darkhorse lost a lot of guys, I know. I talked to my son about them when they got back because I knew his next deployment was coming up. It didn't deter him. This was a great video...beautiful tribute.

It's so sad, that after all that hardship and work, the Taliban took back Sangin in 2017. If the locals won't stand up and fight, there is really nothing anyone can do.
I was working for us.marines as a interpreter for 3/7 3/4 in DelAraam1 and Sangin camp Jackson which was the Sangin district office also I really miss those days with the brave badass marines but unfortunately I couldn't make it to get to USA because of my working with usmilitry i had to run away from afghanistan couldn't contact anyone from 3/7
Awesome vid, worked in sangin with usmc snipers and all I can say is superb really professional elite soldiers have a lot of time for use guys, faugh a ballah,gone but not forgotten
it's a shame. these soldiers sacrificed so much, worked so hard, where so brave and achieved security like never before. and all that fucking hits the news is the amount of civilian casualties and the cost of this operation.

The Americans made in roads quickly through shear man power alone, so the could dominate the ground, we could'nt due to lack of resorces, and operating under "couragous restraint" ROE, but we still put up a hell of a fight. Only those that have been there know what its like.

Sangin is la battlefield on it's own and no way did we have our 'asses kicked' I was there in 09/10 with 3 Rifles and the battlegroup fought hard to establish the patrol based that were scrapped only to find that maybe that wasn't the best idea. Now you know what we had to deal with. And RESPECT to you all for that.
@brenomah No, actually you can't say that. I was a SAW gunner in Lima Co, 3rd platoon the whole time during 3/5s time in Sangin. Everyhting in this video was taken by either our boys in Combat Camera or contributed by those of us that had cameras. Keep your ignorant statements to yourself. This was all taken in Sangin. I give my respect to the British fallen and wounded who helped pave the way for us to fully secure the district.
i can safely say less than half of those pictures are of your guys in sangin.How's about some pics of the brits that fought there for the last 6 years!!!!
