    Outstanding video! I have been questioning if 1584 calculations were 100% applicable to the secondary spades of pad mounted transformers

    is the electrode that is horizontal in direction but NOT towards you is considered as vcb vcbb voa?

    • @Brainfiller
      @Brainfiller  5 лет назад +1

      The IEEE 1584 Standard has no official interpretation for that case. If it is in an enclosure then VCB or VCBB might be OK (As IEEE 1584 Vice-Chair, I am prohibited from making "official interpretations" Keep in mind, it is ultimately about PPE selection so if PPE of 8 cal is used for example, the goal is for the results to be below 8 (or what ever rating is used). Is there a barrier? I'm guessing no. Thanks for your question.

      We just began live streaming our courses globally. I conducted our first one last week and am now in the middle of the arc flash class this week. People from all around the world are joining in. contact brenda@brainfiller.com for information.
