I was rooting for bdubs but xb definitely did the best of the 3 imo,surviving all kinds of crazy traps and it took a literal unstoppable nuke to kill him

Among the top three survivors of Demise , you had the most heat , you did your best to survive, and I respect that. Two things Ive learned in this vid is , Beans is indeed one stubborn tnt boi and the other one is, it takes 74 tnt minecarts and a coordinated team to finally get you. GG sir

I just had the worst day of my life but hearing XB giggled at joe repeatedly trying (and failing) to assassinate him with an anvil brought an immediate smile on my face.
So many attempts were made on poor XB. Props to him for surviving so this long, but if there was a way he had to go, this was THE way!
Honestly, I've put 50 TNT minecarts just outside a friends base before, and the crater was easily 4x the radius of yours. I think that obsidian did a lot to protect your base, it's such a good thing they did that. Joe and Hypno's attempts on you were hilarious that entire episode. I was laughing start to end. Great ep XB!

@@mistymysticsailboat We just really, really liked screwing with each other. We'd go into each other's bases and make secret bases inside them. Hide easter eggs. Etc.
With this person we knew they really hated Acacia trees. So we planted 30 of them just outside their base and I rigged one up to a TNT minecart trap. Keepinv was on so it wasn't that much of a concern, but the crater it left was WAY bigger than we thought it would be, lol.
You might have deserved the prize, but honestly, knowing it took an entire third of the server working together to take you down feels like an even bigger prize!

what's funny is that grian showed a timelapse of them fixing xbs area after explosion, and xb can't stress enough how ok it was that they did it and that it's just a natural part of demise, yet i'm 700% sure that there will still be haters
on top of that, they didnt even destroy a lot... XB held off building a base because he anticipated sth like this could happen, all he has is a small room and 2 small farms, not much. biggest loss here was the armor, by far

Anyone who can take 74 TNT minecarts to the their base and have it pretty badly destroyed, along with all of their gear, and still laugh about it is definitely a great guy in my book. Handled a by all accounts evil prank really well. I cant wait to see how you retaliate

I was watching Joe's stream when this happened and it was so funny that Joe and Hypno kept up the anvil platform thing for so long, keeping it night to spawn mobs on you, and in the end so many people ended up leading you to your demise. GG XB ! You dodged the most traps out of anyone I think.

Seems like xB had a real blast on his birthday.
Such an amazing run and even though xB didnt win, what it took to kill him has given us fans probably one of the funniest moments ever in hermitcraft history (keralis being launched into space).
I had no idea Joe also had so many attempts on your life. This was so funny, the best things are xBs giggles
I think all of the 3 finalists of Demise won in their own ways.

BDubs was one of the most careful players (who, I say with nothing but adoration for the man, is not known for his quick wits or survival skills) with insane plot armor and a clever alarm system.
And you? It took a third of the server and enough explosives to take out a dragon just to knock you down.
You all did amazing!
Anybody THAT worried about your playtime is honestly? Kind of a scrub. You've survived repeated attempts from Grian, Joel, Hypno, and others, and had a super fun Demise run that was a joy to watch - it took massive overkill to finally get you and it's a testament to your skill (and paranoia lol). Watching that whole saga live was a joy, and I'm excited to see what you end up building in that helpfully cleared space!

I think most of it was misjudging his placement and ending up on top when it fell. But at least one was using his body as bait, in hopes that XB would come grab his stuff for him and Hypno would have an easy target lol

The number of attempts you survived is well up in the double digits and I feel like you were targeted a whole lot at the end. So for what it is worth: You are, by leaps and bounds, the winner of Demise in my eyes.
XB, I was really rooting for you. You did an amazing job surviving so many attempts. I’m very happy you posted this today because I SOOOO wanted to see your POV. Hypno trying end crystal you, Joe trying to anvil you (and dying over and over), and all of the other attempts leading up to this by Beans. It was fun to watch. They finally had to just annihilate you. Bravo!!!

Mrs GeminiSlay knows how smithing trims work, if you need to know, or want to know, I think it's easier to ask one of the hermits rather than read an explanation in a comment... but anyway here's the explanation anyway:
- 1 - smithing table
- 2 - in one slot you put the smithing trim, in one a piece of armor (better diamond or netherite), and in the last slot you have to put a mineral (for example gold, quartz etc)... and there you have it, you have the design of the trim on your armor.
Joe seemingly needs anvil dropping practice. You don't have to follow the anvil down. 😂

from a minecraft forum if someone was curious about distance flown. The game counts any movement when you are not in water, climbing a ladder, or on the ground as "flying", such as when you get knocked back by a mob (not just creepers, even a zombie hit will do, and even sprint-jumping will increase it, I believe because it only accounts for the normal distance you cover in a normal jump.
Instead of blowing out your candles, they blew up your base! 🤣 Happy birthday, man!

It's still so weird for me as a Joel viewer to hear xB calling Joel ‘Beans’. I've honestly never heard anyone not just call him Joel in any video other than xB's.
Hermits aren't used to call eachother by their real names (except for Joe and Jevin), the life series hermits are used to calling him Joel by now but the other hermits aren't

(Also in the case of Joe and Jevin their names are in their usernames so it's still calling them their names)

This whole episode is gold, from the genuine laughter at Joe’s death(s) to Hypno’s many valiant attempts, and Joel’s ridiculous overkill, but I also want to say that the thumbnail is really really good too. It’s dramatic and high contrast, but simple and communicates really well.
I think i figured why Joe keeps falling every time he tries to anvil-drop!... Or at least, part of the time lol. Joe uses proximity chat on push-to-talk, so anytime he wants to say anything he has to press capslock. He's probably shifting on the edge of the block to drop the anvil, then trying to press capslock to the conversation going, & fumbling the kill everytime... which is HILARIOUS on your end, especially when he fades into earshot due to falling ^^
Been looking forward to this episode for a while, Demiise has been such a delight with you xB! GG
I think part of it, too, is that if you shift out really far and then place a falling block (sand, anvil) under you like you might when bridging with like dirt or stone, sometimes the game goes "oh, you're standing on that falling block, down you go" even if you were holding shift. It's happened to me a few times before, though admittedly not while trying to anvil squish people lol
i just love one thing about XB that altough they did destroy half of his base and beacon and lost a life he ends up laughing as always thats what we love to see that he didnt get mad. :D
