I’m not sure if this is of interest to you guys, but I’ve been to Ukraine a dozen times. The area I was at is identical to IL corn belt ground, but the acreage they farm is either way less than an average intermediate IL farm, 300-500 acres, or way, WAY bigger, and by bigger, I’m talking guys who are farming continuous blocks of 50k acres. Their is still a lot of old Soviet era Russian equipment that is on par with the old Walker combines, but done at 150% scale, or an 8950 tractor, but not articulated and with open cabs. Or, they have row after row of newer equipment, same brands we have here. Most of my neighbors work 2-3k acres, but that’s only 15% of the Ukrainian farmers. After the fall of the Soviet Union, most guys just stood on the ground and said it’s theirs, and the tougher and stronger they were, the more they kept. My friend flat out told me, and he’s not proud of it, his dad and uncle just killed anyone who was on ground they wanted and paid off who they had to, eventually a couple of different governments were formed over time and they eventually hit a point where their wasn’t anyone that had to be paid off. Oh, the good old Iowa test of basic skills. As an Iowan I can definitely confirm we took the same tests! I'm 39, remember them well.... thanks for the flashbacks lol
I think you are onto something with the white collar not being allowed at all.... Except maybe just give them an inch and a few rules and they will NEVER take a mile!! Thank you American Government! You are the best haha 😊
