King K. Rool is a weirdly perfect character for me. Like, he's got everything I've ever wanted in a character for Smash Bros. He's got two ranged attacks, he's heavy, and most importantly, he's a bad guy. Even more perfect, my brother's main character has always been Donkey Kong, so playing Smash Bros with him feels complete. Like, this was something that was missing before and should have been there all along, but its finally here.
Clark Side he also has a counter that doubles as a projectile reflect
i'm always happy to see more villains in Smash Ultimate. we play the heroes enough. time for the Baddies to be playable.

Nintendo kept all Donkey Kong characters after rare adquisition, including k. rool
There would be no reason not to have King K Rool as the standard villain. It's not like any of the new villains are particularly iconic or memorable. I can't even remember the names of any of the bosses in Country Returns or Tropical Freeze.
If the DKCR series becomes a trilogy, I’m 99% sure the final boss of the third game will be K Rool.

Actually his entrance animation in Smash is a direct reference to his entrance animation (dropping out of the sky) in the original DKC bossfight.

I remember the morning he was announced, when the smash ballot was a thing I was like...10-11 and I grew up with DKC playing the first one on GBA and the third on VC on the Wii and I loved them so much, so when the smash ballot was I thing I immediately voted for K. Rool. So the morning of the direct my sheer hype from seeing K Rool made me scream so loud my mom texted me to stop yelling lol

This is literally the most well thought out and most detailed take on my favorite Rare Character. King K. Rool was the villain that should’ve been in the series since Brawl. But it’s weird that I had to wait this long for him. Oh well, we have him in Smash, he’s back, and here’s hoping he’s in the next Donkey Kong Country game. If not, I can see the dislike bar on the next DKC game trailer being very high.

Removing Twilight Princess is the worst thing smash ultimate ever did. In fact, one of the only bad things it did.

The game is out, and even after all this time, it’s still almost a dream that he’s in. He’s been my second most wanted since Melee, and him and my first were never going to change. Before Ultimate came out, I lost hope. Now, all that’s left is to fill a bear and bird shaped hole in that artwork.
@Acxiion Despite the... not so warm start, I’m glad at least people would like to see them join. Their original games I still consider to be the best games of multiple eras, if not all time.
ReZaHydra I’ve had two second most wanted characters. One was K. Rool and the other was Banjo. I’ve wanted both these and my number one most wanted since the Melee days as well. I feel like most people who say that Duck Hunt replaced him have never actually played any of his games (and I don’t mean playing the RPGs, Nuts and Bolts, or watching lets plays). He would be A LOT different than Duck Hunt. Recently (I know this sounds crazy) I’ve had a feeling that I think you and me and all of the Banjo supporters have been feeling. I think it’s time. There’s been a hint or two from Rare, but I’m not really talking about that even. It just feels like it’s finally time. I don’t really care if it’s through a Microsoft event or a Nintendo event, I just care that both of our dreams might come true this time. Here’s hoping for Banjo to come home!
@GeJoe-no Banjo fans are either A) still hating on Rare blindly not realizing that makes everything worse, B) in the same boat as you an me, thinking his time is soon for Smash, or C) saying the character’s dead and that we should move on. For once in a long time though, we’re the Majority Vote. It’s been dwindling from people who left and people who gave up, just like King K. Rool. If there’s one thing that the King proves, it’s that no matter how underused or under-referenced, a character only dies when the creators have forgotten who that character is. Nintendo knew. Miyamoto worked closely on DK and Diddy in the original DKC with Rare, and Bowser inspired K. Rool. Nintendo, why now impossible to return the bear and bird home fully, and redundant to buy Rare back, has the capability to revive him. Rare and Nintendo never forgot K. Rool. They never forgot Banjo-Kazooie either.

Lol, that was actually my fault. There were two slivers of audio that didn't have any effects on them, so I figured "You know what, I've never done any audio editing, but how hard could it really be?" Obviously didn't know what I was doing, didn't realize how much of a mess I made until I sent it Alex's way, but we decided it was too much of a hassle to rerender/upload everything for 7 seconds of audio.

I think the reason K Rool was so fondly remembered was cause he was almost completely different in both design and fight every game while still being the same character, giving him an obvious varied moveset, and then the resurgence of the show made known this amazing personality to go with that obvious gameplay material. It just had every reason to work.
If it wasn't for his appearance in Ultimate I don't think I would ever have know K. Rool had a stubby little tail.
He had a much longer tail in DKC and DK64. But his tail was seemingly removed altogether from King of Swing onwards.
Glad Smash Bros gave it back to him, even if it is stubby.

New donkey kong game confirmed 100 percent
i do believe he has one trait that stays consistent throughout his entire existence, the tinge of madness and megalomania he has in both his left eye and during bossfights. the megalomania makes the moves commanding and dangerous, while the madness adds a dose of silllyness and unpredicatabillity to his moves and moveset
The alliterating in this episode was through the roof, and I was made happy beyond belief! Cat couldn't be more wrong-you can never have too much alliteration.

Considering tons of people have grown to play and like Mario 2, Andross is the main villain of a long-running series people want more of, and Demise was considered a standout memorable villain in Skyward Sword and a worthy antagonist built up by the INCREDIBLY standout Ghirahim?
He just doesnt put much value in those.

He seriously should have had his actual voice and not just make low animalistic grunts.

There’s also a visual thing with his belly.
Depending if the belly armor is cracked, his final smash shows the cracked belly. That means the final smash actually uses the in game models instead of being a cutscene.

One of my younger brothers loves to Play as K.Rule since his get out of jail free card Up B combined with great weight means he doesn't have to try very hard to survive. He gets to freely play around throwing out smash attacks and projectiles without as much consequence as other characters would have. And I enjoy playing team battles with him as my team mate since my Samus can easily hide behind his bulk and shower the enemy team in missiles.

My favorite thing they gave K Rool is when he is falling after using his up special he flaps his arms to flutter a bit just like in his DKC 3 fight when hes hit by a barrel
Honestly Alax produces fuckin amazing content. Everything he puts out is bursting with quality. I know every time I click on an relaxalax or Alax and bus Cat video that I’ll be greeted with a video bursting with quality. Keep up the good work team!
I have a ton of nostalgia for K Rool for all the country games and DK 64
*Things not necessary but I feel should be noted:*
-K Rool's character design stems mostly from his King of Swing redesign, but mixed with elements of the original K Rool, mainly: a scaly body, gold belly, longer snout, and a tail (even if it's fairly small)
-K Rool, just like Dk, Diddy, and Bowser, has beastly animal noises instead of voice clips. Neither his DK64, nor his DK Jungle Climber voice actors were involved.
